How do we get our personal information removed from Bidbay.....continued....this time without the personal comments. We need to remember that it takes two to fuss and two to name call. If anyone disagrees they can do so but please try and not call names.
NOW.........if you haven't read the locked thread already, read it to refresh yourself with the topic at hand...then give us any opinions or ideas as to how we can do so.

Allykat you start a new thread and state:

"this time without the personal comments" and then go on to call people "cheerleaders."

Not starting off on the right foot for this thread.

Where are the answers Bidybay cheerleaders ?

We have been told call Bidybay, they'll fix everything, some have been there done that, not done.

Have had the complaint line for the FTC shown. Fraud.org been mentioned

The answers here someplace, please show us the law, as one says, but doesn't show.

crychek, still waiting, maybe you Bidybay members can help some people here, or not ?

toollady I'm sure it is important to you.

But why would someone want to answer your questions when people refer to them as cheerleaders, and koolaid drinkers.

It was in the first post on this thread and now in the first sentence of crychek's post.

For people who keep claiming they want to keep things on topic they are not doing a very good job.

As far as needing answers.

I don't know what steps you have taken. I have read the last thread but it's well over 100 posts now and kind of hard to remember everything that was said.

#1 email bidbay
#2 call bidbay

As far as laws are concerned like I said in the last thread I don't know enough about that to really offer an opinion.

I do know it's a hot issue with people on the internet and guidelines have been established.

But as far as anyone breaking the law, I haven't seen proof of that...nor have I seen any proof that gives a site the right to keep such information.

Just from experience in the real world I do know that information is bought and sold and yes you might be able to keep them from sending you anymore junk mail, email, or calling you on the telephone but that does not necessarily mean those companies have to get rid of that information or can't turn around and sell it again. (I am not referring to BidBay in this I am referring to banks, magazine companies etc.)

Hi ****, If you read the entire thread you will see that people HAVE asked and have been told, if anything, to contact the Bidbay Lawyers. I am anxious to see what they have to say. I sure wish the emails referred to could be put on here as I have read them and they really make "you go hmmmm".
Anyways you might let these folks know. They can also direct you to the right people.

This is the email I sent AGAIN on May 12th. Does this look in any way disrespectful?

The ID as well as all account information should be removed from your database.

No toollady it does not look disrespectful.

Have you called the offices to speak with anyone there?

If not I suggest you do it it's a toll free call 1-877-bidbay.

AG2,

Yes, I did call and I got voice mail and left a message.

Additionally, another user was told to email an attorney, which I did yesterday.
However, in now looking at the email, I find it odd that there is not a disclaimer at the bottom about the email being restricted.

He indicated to me that he would be forwarding our correspondence to BidBay and he hoped that would settle the matter.

As of 30 seconds ago, my information is still on the site. I just retrieved my password again. Lot of good that does though because I had voluntarily de-activated my account and can't get in to make any changes.

allykat,

In your post at 06:27:30, you have referenced a first name which is not allowed unless a poster has previously referred to himself/herself in that manner. Please edit your post.

I will allow 30 minutes for the edit.

Back to the topic.....phone calls are not taken, not returned. Emails are ignored. Instead an email addy is given which turns out to be the email for the bidbay attorney who says "hmmmmmmmm, who gave you this address and why?"
Very Interesting.

toollady might I suggest you try calling again.

I have received that same message and usually just press the key to get the operator and it usually forwards me to the next available person.

It hasn't failed me yet.

AG2,
As you can see, this has been going on for some time. This started back in February when I requested my password and found that I could still retrieve it.

I am glad to report my information is no longer on the site!

I just attempted to access my password again and it is now gone!

For anyone else who requested their information be removed, keep after them.

I would also like to state for the record, anyone posting using the toollady ID at BidBay is not me, nor will it ever be me.

So, troll away at BidBay!

Three request letters to three different officers on the site have been sent by me. A phone call was also placed to a moderator who works in the office. She said she couldn't do anything but would be sure to tell one of the VP's about it and she was positive my personal info would be removed. I called and left another message for someone there and was ignored again. By this time, I was very angry due to other BidBay actions and I called once more and left another very punctuated response on a voice mail. It was not until I wrote again to one of the other VP's that I received the attorney's email address with a note that I had better have proof of what I was asking. Proof of my personal info being there? Proof of what?
I followed the advice and wrote to the address and received no response. I wrote again today and still no response. This must be a pick and choose thing, because they sure aren't removing my personal info.

Good Morning Deichen,
Yes more controversy appears and it is unfortunate. I see it always happens when the truth is being told and they feel threatened. It is sad that those of us who are really trying to solve a delima and wanting serious input, have to pay because here they come and cause the thhread to be locked. Hopefully, soon someone will have some answers as to get this information of Bidbay, as this was the original question, which is still unanswered.

HMMMM?????You guys make it sound as if BidBay stole your personal info. You gave it to them!Even if they tell you they removed it from the database, they could still have it.How do you know they don't print everyones info and file it.Maybe they even use one of those file cabinets that was mentioned in the last postI just think your making a big deal out of nothing. How will you ever know that they don't still have the info?Maybe you could get search warrants for the office and CEO's house? When you don't find them, you could work your way down the list of all the people involved with BidBay until you find the mysterious file cabinet with 5 million people's personal info.
Maybe if the CEO of BidBay were allowed to post here he could give you some answers?????But I guess since he has been suspended for defending himself against all of the attacks that's not possible.Life is too short!Move on!

Good Morning Tavonsmom.
You said "But
I guess since he has been suspended for defending himself against all of the attacks that's not
possible.".
Only AW knows why he was suspended and we are not supposed to discuss suspended members. It may, however, have more to do with theft of templates and trolling to promote his site than with one's own defense. JMO. I could be wrong but seldom am.
Let's try and remember not to make this personal so it too is locked, unless that is the goal.

Hi folks,

We're going to lock up this thread now as per our announcement in this forum. You might want to take this issue to the BidBay message boards, where you would have better chance at resolution.

Thanks,
