What's up with this site. I posted one message before this and was told it wasn't allowed. I'm not familiar with this site but after viewing the other threads I notice an awful lot of "locked" threads. What's up with that. What are the rules? I'm afraid to talk!
The following excerpt from the Community Guidelines outlines how the Moderators approach the locking of threads.
8.4. Locked Threads. We may end a discussion, lock a thread, or remove a thread if, in our discretion, we believe (i) the discussion has become unproductive or combative, (ii) the topic to be unnecessarily dominating the Message Center, (iii) the discussion to be harmful to the AuctionWatch Community (this includes opinion polls), or to the business of AuctionWatch, (iv) such action is otherwise appropriate. We may close a thread at the request of the originator, though we may keep the thread open at our discretion.
If you have any other questions, feel free to email [email protected] .

In reality, moderation is not the means of exercising control over AuctionWatch forums. They are actually using retro-moderation, which together with arbritrary decisions by the retro-moderators, have resulted in a less-than-stellar forum.

You have expressed on numerous occasions your disagreement with moderation procedure within the Message Center. You are welcome to email [email protected] with your suggestions or complaints.
Everyone
Since the question has been answered and the CGs require discussion of moderation decisions and policy to take place via email, I am locking this thread.
And, yes - I appreciate the irony...
