and nowhere else! I'm getting sick of putting pages and pages of listings on ePier and Bidville and Amazon with a few views and no bids. What a waste of time! Sell-through is the only thing that matters in the end. Are there any other sites with respectable sell-through?

eSeller004,
I mentioned sellyouritem.com to dimview the other night for his statistical ratings.
I checked their closed auctions earlier tonight and of 1777 closed auctions there were 166 with at least one bid.
I find that sell through pretty good for a site that is only about 2 weeks old.
Your mileage may vary. The auctions were in all different categories. They also have some neat listing tools and their buyitnow feature is interesting too. It's not a static price, but rather changes as users bid instead of going away once a bid has been placed.

toollady,
Thanks. I'll try listing a couple of items that I've sold on eBay on sellyouritem.com and see if I have any luck. Have noticed the bid prices are low and most auctions that have bid activity only see a single bid. Kinda forces you to have to list with a high opening bid. But as you've said their doors have only been opened for a few weeks. I'll keep a watchful eye on the site! Thanks!

Noticed the #1 seller on BargainandHaggle has successfully completed 250 sales negotiations since joining on 2/20/2001. WOW!! He's listed on the main page.
The #2 seller has completed 256 sales negotiations (why this person has more sales than #1 is confusing) since joining 4/12/2001. She's listed on the main page as well. Less than 2 months and 256 sales! WOW!!
The #3 seller has completed 190 sales negotiations since joining 1/15/2001. She's listed on the main page as well.
The #4 seller has completed 182 sales negotiations since joining 2/27/2001. He's listed on the main page as well.
The #5 seller has completed 138 sales negotiations since joining 3/18/2001. She's listed on the main page as well.
These people would give most eBay sellers a run for their money! Plus listing is FREE at BargainandHaggle. To compare this site's sell-through to Amazon, ePier or Bidville is a joke! Maybe even Yahoo.
I've never seen them advertise so how are they able to maintain such high sell-through?

Noticed BargainandHaggle allows sellers to freely promote their websites as well. They're much more seller friendly than eBay!
These new sites need to focus in on and capitalize on eBay's mistakes as these guys are doing. Hope they don't go public as that's about the time the eBay experience started deteriorating!

It all depends on the degree of success of Seller #6, Seller #7, Seller #8, ..., Seller #100.
From the drop in sales from Seller #1 through Seller #5, you don't have to go through many more sellers to get to minimal sales.
I'll take a look at this one sometime next week and see there's some overall trends to be discerned.

Might be. I'm just small-time having stumbled on the site approximately 3 weeks ago. Can't remember how I found it for the life of me cause I can't remember running across ANY advertising. I'm working on my 7th sale in 3 weeks so I've had a little success unlike months on ePier, Bidville, onlineauction.com, Amazon, and others without sales. I don't even list on Yahoo anymore (I will if they eliminate listing fees and goto FVFs and entice buyers to come back). Hadn't had any success except at Amazon Marketplace, Half.com and eBay until now. I only have a few pages of items listed on BargainandHaggle as I've been testing them out, so my meager sell-through shouldn't be indicative of what others are experiencing.
The only thing that matters in the end is SELL-THROUGH!

I still think it depends on the type of things you sell. I am into hockey/sports collectibles. edeal is good for hockey stuff but I would not try to sell football product there - I would use ebay. It all comes down to knowing your product and where that specific type of buyer spends their time
