My wife reads these message boards alot more than I do and said that pay pal Damon could probably help me.
In July I won an auction which I payed for the same night using Pay Pal. More than a month later My package had still not arrived. I emailed the seller several times never receiving an answer. Come to find out the seller was killed in an accident. (my wife and I became aware of the sellers death by reading an old thread on the ebay outlook.) I emailed the seller's husband to see how he wanted to handle the transaction. Due to his wifes large inventory he had no way of knowing which item was mine. (the item in question was a parcel of gemstones) He also did not know any of his wifes passwords which made transfering the money back to my pay pal account impossible.
I emailed Pay Pal support and informed them of the situation. After several days I received a reply instucting me to send the sellers email address and the amount of the purchase, so that they could file a formal complaint. Which I did. I also made it clear in my email that this was not a case of fraud. I included the husbands email address. (which I had obtained from the thread on the ebay outlook) I suggested that they might want to contact him to see if they can help him with his wifes account.
Several days later I receive this reply:
Thank you for contacting Pay Pal
Perhaps the gentleman could call us at xxxxx. We can reset his password. It would be necessary to verify who we are talking to before we can discuss another persons account.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us again.
Sincerely,
Pay Pal Tech Support
Well I have many questions, but I'm tired of waiting several days for emails that don't even begin to address the questions I have asked. To begin with why has Pay Pal left it up to me to contact the sellers husband? The last time I checked I was'nt on their payroll. It was very difficult for me to email this man the first time. When he replied he was very gracious. But I really don't want to play middle man for Pay Pal during what must be a very difficult time for this man. It appears that my emails to Pay Pal support are getting me no closer to having this resolved. I would appreciate any help or suggestions.

I'd really appreciate it.
Thanks!
