Fuzz, And it isn't even any good for web sites. Not unless you don't want a shoping cart and don't mind trying to force your buyers to sign up for a PayPal account when all they want to do is buy something with a credit card, not make a life long committemnt.

I use it to pay my Metaexchange.com account. That's it. I wish more business accepted it so I can pay my bills this way.

I have a couple of small web stores and don't want the permanent hassle & expense of a regular merchant account.
So, I "bit the bullet" and signed up for a PayPal business account about a month ago, primarily for the Web Accept feature. Even though there isn't a shopping cart yet, my sales are up and my total $ spent per customer are up.
Am I pleased with the results so far?
YES INDEED.
I feel that the <2% I'm paying PayPal is quite reasonable considering the convenience to my customers and my increased sales is quite worth the small amout of money it costs me. When they do get the shopping cart feature functional, I'm sure things will be even better.
PayPal did not handle any of this well from a PR aspect; however they ARE offering a really great service to "smalltimers" like me that want to make a living off the internet.
If you are just a casual seller with no aspirations to be anything more, drop PayPal and just accept money orders, and quit complaining. If you want to do more, consider the alternatives and decide where your overall interests lie.

Fuzzy,
I have used it for other things, and Nina sent me money through PayPal to go buy a money order for her. I like the whole concept, but I'm going to have to think about continuing to use it. I'm one of those people who list auctions on a whim, every once in a while. Had fourteen close last week, the first I had even put out in a while. Four chose PayPal, the rest are sending money orders or checks.
