I'd image there are some customers PayPal wouldn't want. Do you think it would be in their best interest to want a customer that says they aren't a business and gets 10-15 payments via credit card a day and at the end of each day request that PayPal send them a check? That's a pretty expensive customer. Would you want such a customer?
I imagine there are some high maintenance customers that monopolize the customer service reps also. Imagine having to spend an hour a week with a problem customer that would generate maybe 5 cents profit!

That would be a business! But is a business one who has only 5 or less a week? Where is the loss in that? We very small sellers are making money for Paypal by bringing in new sign-ups every minute! Paypal makes their money when they sit on the balances for 3-5 business days! They make money on the balances, the delay in transfers, and most payments are not even made by a credit card!

My usage would be in that range at times, I didn't get a notice of the business accounts. So for me, no, I'm not a business. I'm a guy slowly selling off some personal items I collected over 20 years. If I got a reminder of the business accounts I'd explain my position and keep on using my personal account. If it became a problem after that then I could cancel my account, get upset, and insult Damon. Until that time I don't see any reason to change my present practices.
I think you can see how some could tax the service to the point that it couldn't function. Do you agree with that?

No! I do not!
They make their money on the balances in the accounts, the money in the 3-5 day transfer, and most activity is not generated from a credit card.
And No! I have not come here and insulted Paypal and I would ask that you kindly not include me in that catagory! Yes they have lied and yes they have changed all the rules and are trying to cover it up, and yes it is Bait & Switch which is completely illegal!
So, Yes everyone has the right to be extremely upset! I suppose that you are not because you have not been affected. But wait until you are. That is just around the corner. Small accounts are free for now...but so was every account! Remember when you signed up? Did you see anywhere that stated that not all accounts are free? No I am sure you didn't. Unless you signed up after June.
I agree with the others that Paypal should not be trying to cover up what they are doing by fabricating stories and rewriting history. They should just state that things have changed and that is that. What is with the stories! Do they think that everyone is stupid? Like we have no memory what so ever? Yes we do have a copy of the original agreement of which we signed up under. So why are they trying to say that it was different? No one will deny them their fees! That is not the issue with all the fuss!
It is just that Paypal should not try to pull the wool over our eyes and insult all their customers by implying that we are all theives and trying to get one over on them. When in fact no one is trying to!
There I Said It!! If they want to change the service, then Change the service for all accounts!

you don't feel that someone making 10-15 transactions a day, and requesting a check at the end of each day are a burden the system can afford? If not we are indeed speaking a different language.
Ha Ha!! I guess you think that you are exempt??
Well HO HO HO... yes I guess I am. No notice came up about me upgrading to a business or premium account when I've logged on to PayPal.
