This is so dang frustrating...irritating is probably a better word. I have put this message in all of my Auctions:
"***PLEASE NOTE*** "Due to recent, surprise changes in PayPal account policies and seller fees, we ACCEPT payment through PayPal for the convenience of our customers, but do not encourage it. PayPal has told sellers to pass the costs on to our buyers, and we refuse to do so."
and have refused to add PayPal logos to them as well. I just get a message that PayPal automatically put them in for me. If I wanted them in, I would have done it myself! I just sent them a letter and told them to keep their damn corporate paws offa my auctions. When I want their help I will ask for it! GRRR

Well I went to my preferences, and is this what you mean about them being able to add them automatically, or do they have that option because I got verified? This is all I found, and I do not remember turning anything on. Where would I find that option? Thanks This is all I found...
Check this box to receive an email every time your new auctions are automatically updated with PayPal logos.

furkidmom,
Try this:
Log in to paypal. Go to "Profile", it's under and to the right of the "web tools" tab, then look to the left and find "Auction Logos." If you click on it you may be able to turn of the automatic logos there by selecting the auction site and hitting the "remove selected" button.
I haven't used any Paypal logos. I just use a text link. The text link I'll be using with next week's auctions will link to their TOU and will list them as my LEAST preferred method of payment. The week after that I plan to have them completely phased O~U~T!
As an additional way of assisting, these items can't be modified if you have bids on the items. If they do not have a bid, you should have no worries in removing any logos.
