I am starting this thread in the hope that if we make a concerted effort to get our refunds from PayPal, it may get their attention. Please update with your efforts and make suggestions that may help get their attention. I have emailed twice and called three times with no luck. You would think that since they discovered the fraud first that they would be refunding us automatically. Yeah right. Keep calling and emailing and maybe we will have some luck. Let's not take this lying down.

I doubt that you will get any response from Paypal until after December 15th when PS2Cart will have defaulted on their agreement. Until then Paypal has no legal basis to press fraud charges. You, Scottv and everyone else on here have been making these posts for almost a month now saying the sky is falling. PS2Cart has said they wont ship until the 5th or 6th and I certainly dont expect an email with tracking number until a day or so after that. If you get your PS2 or not let this be a lesson to you. You should stick to buying EVERYTHING from a retail store. period. You simply can not handle the stress of online transactions.

Look here igotgame. I buy plenty of stuff online & have NEVER had a problem like this.
You people with hope stil don't understand that the WEBSITE IS GONE! To respond to the statement that it's coming from their distributor, Sony stated that NOONE has access to that many PS2's.

Has anyone contacted ps2cart (Gametek) recently and spoken to them?

I agree with igotgame, and I'm waiting until Thursday to do anything just in case there really are PS2s out there.

In the event that my PS2 does not ship, I will open a dispute with my credit card company for the PayPal charges.

Support at ps2cart, stated in one of the responces, that they would still ship reguardless of the paypal problem.
So who is to blame now ???????

Blames are no us...who trusted and ordered from ps2cart....including myself.

We should have realized that there is no way for any body to get such a huge amount of PS2 for orders at the same time looking at this demand and availability of the system it self...

Now that I think about it, I shouldn't have ordered from them...it sounded too good to be true. But hey, if I do receive it, that's good like that. I'll take that no problem...but it's Dec 4th already, and if Gametek has shipped the systems, somebody should say "hey, I got the tracking number"...but so far, we don't see anyone...

I would just wait till Dec. 15th and see what happens.

Well, I wouldn't listen to anything igotgame says.

He/She claimed that he/she got a tracking number around Dec 1st, and then said that he/she was not stupid enough like us to order from ps2cart (ps2cart shipment thread, I think).

Later on in a different thread, he/she says that he/she ordered BOTH from Amazon and ps2Cart and got the system from Amazon already but haven't heard from ps2cart for weeks....

I need some explanation on this cuz to me, igotgame's statements don't make any sense...

igotgame got his playstation from Amazon. He still has not received word from Gametek. It doesn't matter who is to blame. What matters is that Paypal lives up to their "No Fraud" agreement. You all realize that December 15th will be cutting it awfully close to PayPals 60 day limit to make claims. You all probably want to check on your payment dates and read Paypal's terms for making fraud claims.

Yeah, laugh and make yourself feel better.

igotgame...
It was my mistake to order from Gametek. But I never said I can't get one or that was only my hope....someone is misunderstanding here. I play many of the games WAY BEFORE YOU DO...games are reliesed so much slower in the States... You would be starting to talk about a game when I finsh the game...some advantage being Japanese...
I just thought it would be nice to own US version.

Enough with this crap....

As far as this issue, I will just wait till Dec 15 like I said before. If I get it, that's good. If I don't get it, so be it. I'll worry about it then. Time will tell.

What does you getting to play games early have anything to do with this thread? I already have a PS2 and I think the quality sucks compared to Dreamcast. This thread is strictly about the PS2Cart investigation and how we are going to string them up by thier _ _ _ _ _!!!!

Hi everyone I also sent in an official check for a PS2. I have taken your thread to the bank to prove no one is getting their products - cuz they won't respond to my emails or answer their phones. If we all do a complaint together we may hold a lot more power I have already contacted the better business bureau in hopes of having them look into it. Any ideas anyone? I am quite willing to pay for product, but there has got to be restitution if they don't come through...

Maybe we should start some type of website for people who have not recieved a refund? Just something simple where people can leave a address or phone # and a description of thier problem so we can get a class action lawsuit against the appropriate parties if need be?

And the plot thickens! It may all be a coincidence, but here's my shot at detective work...ya'll can make your own decision.

TuTam shows up here on 12/4 and says "It is Paypal fault you don't get order not Gametek." But also claims "I nothing to do with it." (Also registered with AW on 12/4)

I thought the name sounded familiar...so I went back and checked the ps2cart.com domain registration to find the administrative contact and billing contact for the domain listed as "Tu, Tam". Also found it interesting that the registration information had the contact phone numbers xxxxed out...and the domain record was last updated on 12/4 (IMO, probably to "fix" the phone numbers).

Is the sky falling? Like I said, ya'll make your own decisions.

I don't believe this post will violate CG's as this information is available to the general public, but just in case, I have invited the real Tam Tu to join the discussion. I also think that it would be interesting to hear from someone who would admit to being from Gametek right about now.

You guys crack me up! LOL. No Im not from PS2Cart but it is fun to come up with these screennames to find out who takes the bait. LOL. You just need to sit still until the 15th when you can file a fraud complaint with Paypal. Until then you need to record all conversations with Paypal as they are not the exactly customer friendly.

Well I just got off the phone with Paypal, they said I have to send an email to TamTu. His email address is [email protected]. I'm sure it won't get a response, but that's the first thing they say we should do. They sent me a fraud form to fill out via email. Well it's atleast a start. Glad I was able to get one from Walmart.com. Best of luck to everyone. Is their any other sites with information concerning this company(gametek)?

If I was a legit company, going through this much crap, I'd stop answering the phones, too. Mailbox is full.

I think the Dec 1-5th dates for shipment were a guesstimate, since that falls over a weekend. If they are planning a week-long hustle to get everything shipped out, it would be the first busness week of December. That's the 4th-8th.

Intent of fraud or not... Gametek's set a magic number in their contract. December 15th. And until December 15th, they're fine.

It's still a small window of opportunity that if they are trying there damndest to get these out, we should start getting tracking numbers in by the middle of this week.

If by the 8th, nobody's heard anything, then it's a good time to start biting heads off...

Until then, I'm going to sit here, and watch Wal-Mart... cause that's probably the only way I'm gonna get one of these sunnabitches.

Well kids it doesn't appear that we will be getting our PS2's from Gametek. I have recieved information that I will get confirmed direct from the source but it does appear that we have been had. From my understanding Gametek is no longer in thier office suite. There is a note on their door stating that Gametek is no longer in this building. The note says to contact XXXXXX XXXXX (detective). This person and several others have supposedly called and confirmed. This sounds legit and I have placed a call and and email to the dectective today and will post what ever info I get confirming this ASAP. Doesnt sound very positive. But at least we still have Paypal on our sides!

I dont know if they will answer my fax or not..but It seems they are still in the building...or at least their stuff is.
