ExchangePath stinks. I've had an account with them
sometimes now and they aint bad at all. But jus yesterday
I found out that my account has been suspended. No prior
notification what so ever and I believe I havn't been doing
anything wrong or illigal. Gosh geesh. I read their
update/announcement and they jus announced that their
new policy is that while the service is free now, they
reserve the right to charge a fee in the future. Wellz-
anyone else here got suspended for no reason?? Anyone
has a support phone #? Thanks.

As far as I know my account is still open. However, the
last transaction I had got really screwed up ie: I went to
transfer monies received to my checking acct. & they
charged my credit card!! Bizarre! They did fix it but their
system is screwing up right now!! I'm wondering what is
actually going here!

May want to search the boards for other threads on this. I
thought I read on one thread that if you hadn't given them
a credit card originally, they are disabling the accounts
until you do give them your credit card info. Something like
that. Good luck.

ExchangePath is a Bully. Yep it's true- I jus got off the
phone with them and they admitted that they jus
suspended 18000 accounts for not providing credit card
info. They changed the policy and provided noo prior
notification. Thanks for the #s Dana. If anyone out there
having the same problem- jus call up the number, provide
ur cc info and they'll reactivate ur account w/in 24 hrs (or
so they said). I wasn't even put on hold when I called -
heh. Hope this help folks.

Your very welcome! I gave them a visa/debit # when I signed up. It comes out of my
checking acct....the one I use to deposit their funds in. I keep it empty so when they
charged my card..the bank paid it but charged me $22 for NSF! It is funny that I
requested the transfer first & they actually debited me before transfering the money!! I
have used them for a few transactions but am seriously considering getting my old
merchant acct. re-activated. 1.5% & batches every night. But I have closed my shop so I
don't actually have a store front any more..which is a requirement! Trying to figure out a
way around it!

My account is also suspended. On yahoo auctions there has been a person using STOLEN
CREDIT CARDS (to buy items) & USED the credit cards through EXCHANGEPATH.
EXCHANGEPATH DOES NOT PROTECT THEIR SELLER OR BUYERS ( I will never see my
money for the items I have already sent out)!!! ((((( I would stay away. This person is
also sending the items that he buys out of the states to INDONESIA!!!!!! HE HAS GOTTEN
AWAY WITH over $1000 + IN ITEMS. BEWARE IF BUYER WANTS TO SHIP TO
INDONESIA!!!!!!!!

I just tried to open an account to take
advantage of the AW Free Listing Day and
it will not work without a credit card
number although they clearly state in their
FAQs that you do not need to give them one.

Oh, I tried, too, through auctionwatch....
I complained to auctionwatch and they responded
that you could do this through the exchangepath site.Just by chance I stumbled
across a website that gives an analyses
of all the online electric cash transaction
companies like this one...I discovered
they can ALL freeze your account or
suck money out of your account and close
down on you leaving you just sitting there
with nothing...
I decided to pass on this free listing day
promotional because there is so much static
about exchangepath already!

We are in the process of updating our system and as a result, now require additional information from our members, including credit card number, billing address and phone number. During this upgrade process, those accounts that did not have this information on file were temporarily suspended. We regret that we did not properly inform members about these changes.
As you can imagine, our customer service department has received a large volume of messages, and we have dedicated all possible resources to answering your inquiries. If you have called or emailed customer service, we will get back to you as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
I would also like to stress to auction sellers that ExchangePath is a service for US-based residents. Please do not use ExchangePath for transactions where goods are shipped outside of US.
Again, we regret the service interruption and apologize to those who were affected.

Ok THAT'S IT! I've sent all the emails. I've made the long distance phone calls on MY dime, never got a human, but left messages, and STILL SUSPENDED! I am NOT a crook! I am NOT a thief! I am NOT a hacker. I do NOT commit CC fraud. For gods sake! I'm a OLD LADY! And I've been around forever! Everyone knows I ain't no crook!
I do NOT sell outside of the United States. I do NOT ship outside of the United States. I GAVE them the CC and Bank information from the very beginning!
This is NUTS! I don't have time for any more of this NONSENSE! What a Hell of a Time to pull this ExchangePath! Right in the middle of the Christmas Selling Season.
I'm getting dam sick of revising auctions and removing CC Services! But I'm Done Messing with YOU! I'm revising over 300 auctions yet again!
ExchangePath, Shame, Shame SHAME ON YOU!
BidPay is STILL the BEST service out there for us sellers!
Auction Watch! We would LOVE to hear SOMETHING FROM YOU regarding this
mess! After all, you DID buddy up with them!

Dear AuctionWatch MBA's:
Uhhh...I think you screwed up big time with this little ExchangePath fiasco.
I think you need to start acknowledging that you screwed up in hooking up with these clowns, because talking about it openly is the best way to get people to trust you again.
Dear ExchangePath MBA's:
Please issue a statement that's not 99.9% spin. No one is buying it.
Thank you.

Hi everyone--
If you were one of the suspended accounts, you can do one of two things to either establish a new account or reopen the suspended account as follows:
To re-open your suspended account you need to call ExchangePath Customer Support at (717) 506-2205. You will need to register with a valid credit card.
To establish another account go to Universal Registration and set up a new account with another user id and email address that is different from your suspended EP account. You will need to register with a credit card.
Hope this helps!

Say, if ExchangePath is able to pull this kind of stunt, then obviously you can't be trusted with Credit Card information. I've pulled ExchangePath as a payment option in all of my listings. If you reconsider your position, maybe someday I'll reconsider using ExchangePath some day. Maybe.

Thank you so much for your post. I have had EXTENSIVE problems with EP for over a week now. I noticed a payment from overseas and called their center to alert them. Well, wouldn't you know they then suspended MY account!!! I honestly have to much to say to post here but if anyone needs any contact information for EP, post on this thread and I will be HAPPY to provide it for you. EP has stolen money from us, charged our accounts and we are filing a lawsuit against them this week in the states of PA and NY. Sellers beware!!! They will take your money and run and offer NO explanation. By the way, be careful if you give them any personal information, because they gave out our PHONE NUMBER (HOME PHONE NUMBER) to someone who called in !!! ABSURD!!!

Well let me add my name to the list. I just got my email from AW saying they deposited the money in my account for the 'Free Listing Day'. Went to check my funds, and guess what ... "Account Closed". Imagine that. Got an email in to CS but I don't have high hopes. I even added more info when they upgraded the system like I was instructed. Can't wait to see their reason behind the account closure.
Will update as soon as I find out.

Well I got a letter about the refund for "free listing day" Went to check my account and it shows nothing, not even pending. I know they say for two days it maybe pending, but does that mean I can't even see it in my account as pending? I have the letter that says funds were sent.

Promoised an update and here it is.
A rep called me from EP and got my account fixed up. For some reason, all the info I entered was no longer on the system and had to be re-entered by the Rep. Dunno why, but that fixed it. Now I am just waiting on the money AW sent me and the $10.00 from EP. Both were already deposited when the account was closed but do not show up when I access it. Here is hoping the Rep can fix that as well.
