After updating my ampro today, I have been having problems and received the following messages: "run-time error '53': file not found" and "run-time error '429': active x compound can't create object". I decided to re-download ampro from the website. Now I cannot open ampro from my desktop. It starts to open it and goes thru a few steps and then it says "an error occurred during the move data process: -132". The error message also had a place for component, file group, and file but there was nothing specified in those fields. I would appreciate any help. Thank you.
You can use the installer you already have on your machine, but uninstall the copy you have loaded now via the Add/Remove programs option in your Windows Control Panel.
Once you uninstall the software, restart your machine and run the installer once more when it boots back up. Be sure to disable any software you may run in the background before installing again. It sounds like something corrupted the program during one of the recent installs.

Thank you for your help. Now I've got new problems -- I removed all AMPro items, restarted the computer, and then downloaded from the website again. There is no icon on my desktop and when I try to open/unpack the "box" icon in "my computer", I get the same error message as before... an error occurred during the move data process: -132. Please respond asap. Thank you very much.
Apparently the file is being corrupted during download, rather than install.
Press CTRL+ALT+DEL and End Task (ask me how if you are unsure) on everything but Explorer and Systray (and MSN internet service, if that is listed there) before you click to download the program again.
Perhaps there is something that automatically loads when you boot your machine up that is corrupting the file.
Download the file to a location other than your current, so if you have been downloading to the desktop - send it to your My Documents folder instead or Vise Versa.

OK. I did everything you told me to do -- I ended everything and tried to download again. When I did this, the computer froze up. I am going to try to download to "my documents" without ending everything while I am waiting for a response. Please give me any information you can. Thank you.

Christopher, Thank you so much for your help. Downloading it somewhere else must have been the key because it seems to be working just fine now. Thanks again.
