I have tried to figure out which button to click that will send a buyer a message asking if they liked the item to please post feedback and CAN FIND IT NOWHERE. It is probably right under my nose, but step-by-step how do I do that? Another question, for every 10 sales I make, I may have 2 buyers that send prompt feedback out of 10. Does anyone else have this problem and how does one graciously ask a buyer for feedback as this is one's online reputation that is being built. Thanks for any info.

Hello,

If you click on the row of numbers after that item, step 7 is the feedback reminder that you can send out.

Hi Renie,

Love to help you, because I had this same challenge. You'll never get everyone to respond, but this is what I do. First of all, I would NEVER withhold giving Positive Feedback until I receive it from the buyer. Those who do are giving the rest of us eBayers a bad name.

When I return from mailing their purchase, I immediately use the AW Post Sale section to enter date shipped, enter positive feedback, and send the buyer notification that it was shipped. I personalize it, telling them I packed it well, and how it was shipped. I tell them I appreciate their purchase, and I have left them Positive Feedback.

I have my Outlook Express set up where under the Signatures section, I have one called FB Reminder. If no FB from them 5 to 7 days after shipping, I send them that personalized email as a gentle reminder. Half of them respond by doing so, and most of those email me to thank me for the reminder. So I consider this a no-pressure way of doing business. This is what I say..........I hope you received the ------- in the condition as promised. If you would care to, please take a moment to send Feedback to eBay. I value your comments, and truly appreciate your business.

Hope this helps, and Good Luck!

Joette

I guess everyone has his or her own preference about feedback. Ive tried giving it when I ship the item and waiting till the bidder receives it- To me it seems more professional to wait till the bidder gets the item. When the transaction has been completed its time to record the results in feedback. Theres no set way to do it - whatever gives you the warm fuzzy s is best.

I will post a positive feedback as soon as the customer has paid (or the check has cleared)

As far as I am concerned their part of the transaction is complete. If it gets messed up after that it is not thier fault and they deserve positive feedback no matter what they give me.
Or if they dont leave any at all. Feedback is not part of the deal, it is totally optional.

I really dont see a problem with your choice about when to give feedback. For me - I feel more comfortable waiting until I hear from the bidder that they received the goods - Most of my items are sent regular usps with no conformation and the only way I have of knowing it arrived is hearing from my bidder - the feedback is left once I know they have the item - I dont deny fb or require it be given to me first. Everyone has their own best way of doing things.
Good selling
