I was having problems with AmPro (shutting down for no reason - error messages, etc), so as suggested on the boards, I uninstalled and reinstalled. Now ALL my inventory is gone! I had well over 150 auctions ready to go. Is there anyway to get this back?
I recently changed computers and have a lot of the inventory on the other computer. If I can't retrieve any of the info on this computer, can you tell me the name of the file where my inventory would be so that I can put it on disk and tranfer it to this computer?
Unfortunately, there is no way to recover your lost inventory from that first machine. When you use the uninstaller in the Add/Remove programs option of Windows, it should have saved it for you along with your images.
If you need to transfer (both versions need to be the same) your inventory over, there is a workaround for this.
You will need to make a copy of the 'inv.dat' file in the data folder of your AuctionWatch directory on one machine, and copy it over into the data folder of the other.
C:\Program Files\AuctionWatch\data\inv.dat
The above URL is where you will find that file, and that data folder is where you will paste it into your other copy.
