Hi Touchofeurope,
When you first open up AMPro, do you synchronize right away? Or do you wait until you have created your batch before doing so? I would recommend opening up AMPro, synchronizing, then trying to sychronize your batch. If you cannot get it loaded, try breaking down your batch into smaller batches. Let me know if this works.

Hi Sonya
I have tried everything - I tried to synch immediately with no batches open. I tried to synch with a batch. I previously tried with a small batch, it didn't work either.
Why can't you just go look into the system logs and find out what is the number of the picture blocking me? That's all I want to know!!!!
I am getting desperate - this is costing me so much time and money!
Please answer this question, what picture is causing the problem? That number never appears as you saw in the messages I cut and pasted.

Hi Touchofeurope,
Are you trying to upload images online, or just batch listings? There isn't any one specific image blocking the synchronization or it would say which one it is in the Details log. If you are trying to upload images, try uploading just the images first (you can select them all in the image bar and then hit AuctionSync). After that, then open the batch and upload the batch. Let me know if this option also doesn't work so I can escalate this issue.

Hi Sonya,
I am glad to finally get an answer. I tried doing just that this morning and got the same result. I am at my wits' end - I just don't know what to do anymore. This is so frustrating, at this point I just want to toss the whole thing out. The program is so unstable and when I can finally get things finished (it's also very slow), now I can't get the auctions up. I've had to delay launch to Thursday and this has cost me a lot as well.
I really hope someone there can help - it's been 28 hours now and nothing is working. As another kind observer said, I am a fairly large user, and I really hope someone can work to solve this for me. I cannot afford to just dump the auctions and start over.
By the way, I am on a DSL connection with a Pentium III laptop with 128 MB RAM so that shouldn't be a problem either, in case someone asks.

Hi Touchofeurope,
The problems you're encountering with AMPro are caused by the very large number of images you have.
You need to go to the online "Manage Images" pages (inside the Auction Manager tab) and delete some of your images. You will probably choose to delete those that haven't be viewed for a very long time (August, September).
But also, we do recommend you to try Sales Manager Business Edition. This program was specifically designed for users with very large volumes of sales and lots of images. Notably, there are no technical limitations on the number of images a user can have, so you should be able to synchronize all your current images using SMBE.

As I explained several times this week-end, I am in the process of migrating to BE, but meanwhile still have those 500 auctions in AMPRo. I was NOT eligible for BE until last week so I couldn't do it any sooner!!!!!!!!
Now, I have deleted everything I possibly could, will that be enough? I can't get rid of the pictures that are still in use - and I need to be able to relist - we have a large sell-through % but I still relist every few weeks.
CAn I save a batch from AMPro on a diskette and just copy it into BE? That's been my question and I still don't know if that's possible. I can't afford to start over with these 500 auctions, I need to synch them one way or another.

Hi Touchofeurope,
Unfortunately, the current SMBE version does not allow for the import of AMPro batches, but the next version, available soon, will add this feature.
The only possibility you have now to move batch data into SMBE is to copy the items from your AMPro batches into the AMPro inventory, and then import the inventory into SMBE.
You have of course the other option, too - deleting old images, until your AMPro installation will again be available to complete the synchronization.

Hi Radu,
OK, I tried that, now what is happening is UNBELIEVABLE.
I finally got the synch to start. Before that I managed to delete some pictures which I hope I won't need.
And, AMPRO is uploading them again after I deleted them from AW?!?!?!?! This is nuts!
I have the upload going on now, sending up the pictures I just deleted - what is this?
I also have a time showing of over 3 hours but I have to leave in 45 minutes with computer, so I'll have to interrupt this - man what a mess!

Hi Touchofeurope,
Are you sure that AMPro is now uploading the old images again?
They might as well be the images you have attached to your 500 new, pending auctions. These images must be uploaded, too, and AMPro is correct in doing so.
If they are indeed old images, please give us an example - the name of an image re-uploaded in error, so that we can further investigate.

DSC7870 and all following are the ones I just read off the screen. These are old I am sure. The new ones are Dsc with small sc, from our new camera, that's how I can tell the difference.
Odd huh?
I am going to have to stop the synch though, so I'll check with you before restarting about 5 pm my time (EST)

Hi Touchofeurope,
When using "Windows Explorer" to move images in and out of the "images" folder, AMPro might sometimes become confused and handle copied-in images as new, even if they were there before.
Thus, if you have indeed moved the AMPro images into the SMBE folder and back during your testing, this might be the cause AMPro is trying to upload old images again.
To stop re-uploading images which were already deleted online, please go to the "images" folder of AMPro and delete those same files from there too. Please make sure that you are only deleting images that do not exist online (the ones that you have deleted already, and they were not re-uploaded on the previous synchronization).
After doing this, please delete also the "Images.map" file from the "data" folder.
Manually copying files from/to the "Images" folder is not something we normally recommend, except for very special situations like yours, so please do make sure you follow all the details of the procedure above.
