I have installed a second hard drive on my computer. I wanted to move Ampro to the second drive. Did so, with a drag and drop - now the shortcut does not work. I figured the easiest way is to just re-install. Now - the question. If a take out the batches and images from the program, (drag & drop them on my desktop), and uninstall, will ALL my info be saved?

Hi Hendrix,

Uninstalling and Reinstalling AMPro will not delete your batches or your images. If you are still unsure about this, I would recommend copying them and moving the copies to a different location on your computer. Regarding the shortcut, the reason it doesn't work is because you moved the program to anothre location. The shortcut is to where the program was originally placed so you can delete that shortcut, right-click on AMPro in its new location, and create a new shortcut.

Hi Hendrix,

I didn't realize you had two AMPros installed. It may make things easier for you if you renamed the directory for the second one so that you can keep track of the two easier. Then create your shortcut again.

The two DID have different names on the desktop. Uninstalled.....Tried to re-install to Drive D (my second hard drive. Goes thru installation but when it tries to open I get this: run-time error 75 path/file access error. What am I doing wrong?

Hi Hendrix,

Is this the AMPro copy that you moved? It looks like there was a bad installation so you might need to download a new one to your D-drive.

I use 3.1 because I don't like any of the upgrades. I have 3.1 exe. saved on my desktop 'cause it was easier than having to ask if I ever wanted to install another. That's what I'm using to try to install. Do I uninstall BOTH installed programs? For user 1 AND user 2? And then try to re-install 1 & 2 again? Is there any part of ampro that is somewhere else that I might miss on the uninstall? When the program asks for where to install, I'm just selecting D do I need a name? (just for one user right now - I'll worry about the second later.)

Hi Hendrix,

I have escalated this to engineering and will post here once I have more information for you on the error you are receiving.

Hi Hendrix,

I checked your prefs and unfortunately, it is gone from your default text box online. You can copy and paste it from one of your active auctions back into that area but you'll have to type in any HTML that you used.
