Hello:
It seems that (when I am off line) each time I click to the PREVIEW button, I get my "Sign In" box.
I do not want to sign in, so have clicked "Cancel" only to have it re-appear each time I click the cancel.
Later, after doing the PRO, I decided to connect. NOW, I have I big problem.
When I do sign in, I get on-line, and then another "Sign In" box appears, and will not cancel.
I have Norton, so then a box pops up asking to "Fix" the problem, and I click that.
NOTHING!!! IN FACT THE WHOLE THING FREEZES UP!!!
CONTROL-ALT-DELETE does not work either.
What can I do to stop this "Sign In" box from popping up whenever I try to click from the "Basic" in PRO to the "Preview"???
Please help, and thanks,
DW
What 'sign in' box are you getting exactly? Is going to the preview window, prompting your browser to launch and bring up the window to log into AuctionWatch or eBay, or?
Also, have you been using Pro for some time and this just started? If so, what recent changes have you made to your operating system or browser software?

Hi PaperMemories,
Your "Sign In" box pops up whenever you click Preview because your default listing text contains links to external images.
The Preview window behaves like any browser, so it will try to connect to the net in order to download the external images and show correctly the full page.

Hello Radu, Christopher, or whoever:
OK, so,
"Your "Sign In" box pops up whenever you click Preview because your default listing text contains links to external images."
But, I see no advise on what to do to correct this problem. Since I am a just a bit more than illiterate when it comes to this thing, I NEED HELP! Which is what I expressed in my first message.
When the sign In box pops up, unless I connect then to the NEt, it will freeze the computer, later, when I do try to sign in.
i.e. After I am signed in, another sign In box pops up. And, then, I can do nothing else.
Even though I try Control-Alt-Delete, it does nothing.
I have to PHYSICALLY shut the computer down, and then re-start it in order to continue using my computer.
Tks,
DW

Hi PaperMemories,
If you remove the external links from your default listing text your computer will not try to connect to the internet. This will stop the computer from freezing and will allow you to preview the auction without having to go online.

PLEASE LMK what to do.

I have Win 98, and MSN as server and use Outlook. Have upgraded all Outlook offers since installing PRO.

As far back as I can remember this Sign-In box popping up has been a problem. That is one of the reasons I have not been using AW PRO much to launch on Ebay (or any other site).

Hi papermemories,
Sorry for the confusion!
The problem is that you have links (URLs) in your default text that are linking to external images (images that are not available in AM Pro.) When you try to preview your auction, your browser prompts you to sign in so that the images specified by these URLs can be accessed (since the images are located on the internet, you need to be signed on to the internet in order to view them.)
In order to work around this, you can either set your browser to "never dial a connection" (if you are using Internet Explorer, this is under Tools -> Internet Options -> Connections) or you can simply connect to the internet before previewing your auction.
