When I try to open AMPRO-it starts to load then stops and I get a window that states "Program has performed an illegal operation and will shut down". When I click on details on this window it reads "AMPRO caused an invalid page fault in module RPCRT4.DLL @ 0137:70101e3b". What should I do?

Hi SMEYES,

Do you have any other programs running when you open up AMPro? If not, then it isn't a memory problem and your AMPro may have been corrupted.

The best way to resolve this would be to uninstall the current version of AM Pro that is on your system and reinstall it again.

You may use the Add/Remove Programs Wizard in Windows to uninstall the program. You do not need to worry about saving your batches and images as these will be retained, however, you may want to copy the batch and images folders to a separate location on your hard drive "just in case".

Hello,

What changes on your machine, if any, can you tie into when this error started?

There are no patches, or tricks to the Pro software, and reloading it again will end up being what corrects this issue if it is not another program causing the error.
There are a few tricks to downloading and installing it though. Make sure you close out of anything and everything other than your browser (technically you will have explorer and systray running as well) when you choose to download the program. When it asks you where you want to save it, try sending it to a location other than your default. If you have been sending it to your desktop, try your My Documents folder instead or vise versa.
Additionally, when you run the installer make sure you are closed out of all and any programs then as well, including your browser.
When you are finished installing the software, restart your machine. When you boot back up, then try launching Pro for the first time.
