The last auction I posted has two images at the end. One is 194k (432 x 1164), the other is 150k (391 x 1164).

Why oh why is the bigger one now smaller than the small one? I am trying to get my images to be about the same size when they are next to each other.

Can someone please tell me what the rule of thumb is when AW downsizes pictures? I know they shrink anything over 250 pixels wide, but do they always shirink down to 250 pixels or do they cut it in half or just do whatever they feel like doing?

Also, are there times when AW will not shrink an image if it's just a little bit over 250 pixels? I need to know this too because I plan they way they go into the auction and would like some consistency to rely upon.

Hello,

The rule is that we scale down anything that is wider than 250 pixels, even if it is only a little wider than 250.

The new image size will be 250 pixels wide, and the height will be based on the amount the image had to be scaled down to reach 250 pixels wide.
