Help! My auction Pro keeps " performing an illegal operation" when I save a new auction and Windows shuts it down. Any Ideas?

Yes, same problem for a month! No answers from customer service. Are you using windows xp? does anyone know what will happen to my batches if I download a new version to maybe solve the problem? anyone know how to delete and update with little hassles??? Please help if you can. Keeps crashing when I try and save a batch, then just continues about every 20 minutes! Things were fine the first month I had xp but then things went down hill fast. I really want to solve tonight so I can work on auctions tomorrow!
Thank you

I am not using XP and this would happen maybe once a month. Now I have to save my auction copy just to hit save or lose my auction. Tonight this happened three times in a row! I am guessing a fault also but I need more info to proceed .

First, you will want to simply restart your machine and see if that stops the fault from happening. Next, I would see what you have running in the background. Pro requires a bit of memory to run, and having a browser and anti-virus program running in the background while creating data in Pro could cause it to crash. Other than that, you may want to consider reloading if you feel the problem may be with the software (and have tried these suggestions already.)
hair2dye4 - Have you tried the suggestion of switching XP to 'classic' mode already?

Thank you for the reply, I did try the classic mode, did not help, but I do have anti virus running... will try that. Can you please send details on how to delete and reload incase it continues tonight and no one at customer service? Just the easiest way with loseing little information on past batches if possible? Thank you

I found windows xp has a program compatiblity wizard to help find which windows program works best, I went through them all and none worked. I had hoped you would reply by tonight so I can find out about downloading again if it is really worth it! Anyone there? Thank you
In the Windows XP error window, there must be a "to see the error report, click here" link. Please click on this link and check the text in the following page - especially the first lines. Then copy and paste it into this thread so that we can see what error is causing this problem.
