AuctionWatch experienced listing delays to eBay on Sunday night, 4/07/02, due to issues with the eBay API. eBay has also experienced intermittent problems availability on their site today (Monday 4/08/02) without impact to the API. The problems on Sunday, however, caused significant delays in listing items from approximately 6:30 pm to 9:00 prm PST. EBay made changes to their API at approximately 9 PM PST that brought all systems back to normal operation.
Most listings scheduled during this period were listed within 2 hours of their scheduled time. A small number of auctions that were not launched within 2 hours of requested launch time were cancelled.
We apologize for the reduction in service level and are working with eBay to improve API performance.
