I have successfully changed all of my online information and my AWPro info from CyberCEO2000 to RetroBargains.

How do I change my AW User ID ? I no longer want to use the CyberCEO2000 User ID at all.

Oh.. after posting I noticed my storefront still shows the CyberCEO2000 in the link. For clarification I want to lose the CyberCEO2000 info altogether and transition to 100% being Retro Bargains. I have already updated my storefront info also.

Hi Greg,

Unfortunately we cannot change user IDs -- you would have to open up a second one for RetroBargains. We can then close out Cyberceo2000 for you, when you are ready.

Thanks for your quick respons Sonya.

Pardon my frankness but, that's a real pain. Please understand my frustraion when I state that I can't believe that I just spent the last few hours realigning everything just to find out that I have to do it all over again.

Are you absolutely positive there is no way to do a global change to my account reflecting my new User ID request? Seems that would be a simple task of data entry control.

I can understand if a verification process or email is needed to verify who I am, but to simply not be able to change it is difficult to understand.

I do appreciate your candor, but I'm just trying to save myself a lot of time and a lot of trouble so that I can quickly get back to posting auctions.

Hi Greg,

I know that it is an inconvenience, but unfortunately there is no way to change your name to the new name. You will need to open a second account, and use the offline tools to download your images then reupload them into your new account.

Greg, did you ask the folks at AW what the procedure was >before< you went about this renaming thing?

OK, back to kicking at the grass, waiting for a grounder...

Okay... I understand clearly. Don't like it, but I'll conform and get things rolling on my end to make both of us some money. <grin>

FYI: Since I was freely able to change my email address at AW I simply figured it would not be an issue to change the User ID as well. Live and learn. <smile>

Thanks again and I'll let someone know when my new account is active and I'm finished with the old one.

Hi Kahml,
That would be a good point - if I asked first - but I guess I let the functionality of other services that I use lead me to believe this was capable of being done here at AW.

With a simple response to an automated confirmation email I was able to change my existing User IDs at eBay, PayPal and Ruby Lane quickly and immediately.

I assumed (yes I know) this would be a typical and commonplace request at AW.

It's no longer an issue as I will create my new account in short order and all will be well.

Thanks for the rhetorical question though! <g>
