I don't want any help. It keeps changing what I compose and messing it up. I go back and put it right and it just has a mind of its own. It is conflicting with the template?

Is it that 4.2 won't do anything unless I click "HTML editor" and then it takes over. If I do NOT click on it, then it remains dormant?
If you do not want to use the HTML editor, just don't click its button. Thus, the description text that you enter will not change at all, even if it contains HTML tags.

Thank you, Radu. I guess I was a little heated. I spend a couple of hours and couldn't figure out where my changes were going. The editor never entered my mind because I've been using 4.1 and never had a problem. I don't know why I clicked it.
Let me ask this. If I do turn it on, by mistake or whatever, will I then have to save the HTML and delete the file and open a new one? Or is there a simplier way to stop it?

Hi Fred,
If the HTML editor opens by mistake, you can always click "Cancel" to exit its window.
Even if you click "OK", you can still delete just the item's description, and enter it again. To delete, right click on the description field and choose "Select All"; then hit Delete on your keyboard, or right click the selected text and choose "Delete".

I did delete all. Often. But as soon as I copied and pasted the HTML from another source to the editor, and then viewed auction, the editor had changed what I had put there.

Hi Fred,
You can copy your own HTML code directly to the "Description: (HTML ok)" field of the Basic Information tab. You do not need to click on SMPro's HTML editor when copying HTML from another source.
