I've noticed a number of auctions on eBay that have images down within the body of the text of the auction. I have only been able to create auctions that have the images at the top, side or bottom based on the templates. Is there a way to create a listing that for example, has an image at the top, descriptive text, an image or other graphic in the middle, more text, and an image at the bottom? Also is it possible to add our own backgrounds?

I've tried using HTML which is not a problem for me to create but cannot get this to work. I'd like a more customized look rather than a canned look.

Hi
I have the same type of question. I have noticed animated gifs saying thank you in ebays shipping info and non-paying bidder signs etc. But have no clue how to add them to my copy.
I too would like to use a custom template but don't know where to start. I would appreciate any help.
Thanks
Paula

Hi Paula,

From what I can tell we are out of luck with Sales Manager Pro. I do not think we can do what we want to. It appears that we would have to utilize Andale's services (I notice a lot of people who have done what we want to do have used Andale) or it looks like eBays own listing service will allow you to do it, you just need to store the images on the web and create a link to them in your listing.

Its too bad as I enjoy using Auctionwatch but if they don't have the features then you have to move on....

Hi
You know, you posted your question of the 11th and I find it odd that there has been no response from AW!
At any rate, I think you are wrong... I am doing something in a limited way now. Our preferences accepts html and I am thinking that if it is pathed properly it should work. See my posting today...
besides, I don't want to move on. I teach on-line selling and I review sites and software on a regular basis and AW is currently the best and most reasonable. Andales may be better or about the same but I'm in this to make money and I can't afford their prices...
Thanks for the reply!
Paula

Hello,

You can do this from any of our tools, but only by using your own HTML to specifically place your images beside the text in that manner. Unfortunately, if none of our templates or the templates you could create using the customize tool will give you the exact look you are going for, pasting your own HTML would be the only option.

Thanks Christopher. What path do I need to specify though in order to get to my image directory?

Hello,

To obtain the code which contains a link to your image, follow these steps:

1. Go to your Image Hosting page within Auction Manager
2. Check the box next to the image(s) that you wish to attach to your auction
3. On the bottom of the page, click the "attach" button
4. Verify the image and click "Continue"
5. On the next page, copy and paste the entire block of HTML (which includes your image URL) into the description box of the auction listing form.

If you wish to use only the image URL, it/they will be embedded in the HTML code generated by our system.
