FedEx has a service called FedEx Home Delivery that is not on the shipping options. Home Delivery is like FedEx Ground, but includes the higher fee when delivered to a residence vs. a business.
I would like to be able to offer this as my shipping, since most of my customers are residential, but the commercial customers don't want to pay the premium and just want plain old Ground.

along the same lines, I would like to be able to have FedEx rates calculated and if the world was perfect Airborne's too. Any possibility of this in the near future?

Just charge everyone the surcharge. I looked at my fedex charges and a lot of the business address I sent to got charged the surcharge. People running there business out of there house still need the surcharge and there is really no way to tell until it is delivered.(unless you ask every person)
If you charge exact shipping price and don't include the surcharge will probably come out behind.

I dont know if this helps anyone but I have calculated shipping charges with every method available. I still come out cheaper shipping via UPS ground. If I go USPS and add delivery confirmation and insurance it averages .75 to a 1.00 higher. I have noticed that I get even a better rate if I go through PayPal ship to print the labels.
