I am a new user to AW and what I have seen so far I like, (here comes the big) BUT... I have experienced quite a few problems with regard to the offline (SM Pro) and online synchronization.
First I wasted both eBay posting fees as well as AW fees when I did an "upload" of a batch and then sometime later hit the "synchronize" menu button. I had no idea that this would cause the items in the batch to get posted again. Once a batch has been processed isn't it "spent".
I had not saved the batch first and therefore did not get the option of check which batches to process. I would recommend that open, unsaved batches not be processed for uploading. The app could ask the user to "Save As" before continuing the upload. Or develop the concept of a "scratch pad" batch that once processed would be cleared.
Also, I tried creating some inventory items in SM Pro and then do a synchronize. The items went into the inventories, but the quantities were all 1. Once I got the quantities straightened out, I don't see them decrementing when auctions close with sales.
I'm sure that some of this is my inexperience with the tool, but it is leading to a great deal of confusion, to the point that I have stopped using SM Pro and am just doing everything online. This at least reduces the confusion somewhat.

I am sorry you are having trouble with SM Pro.
I am not sure why you did not get a warning before you tried to resynchronize your batch - SM Pro is configured to display a warning message before items that have already been uploaded can be uploaded again. Can you tell us which version of SM Pro you are using?
Using SM Pro inventory is largely manual - the quantities have to be tracked manually as the program is not yet configured to detect a close and decrement the inventory accordingly (online inventory will do this, however.)
