When I import images or I should say try to import images from my desktop in SMP I get:
A Fatal Exception has occured at 0177:BFF9dba7 . This has started over the past day and gotten worse to the point that it happens every time now and I can't use the program. Any Ideas?
Please uninstall and reinstall SMPro. In order to uninstall, please use the Add/Remove Program wizard in Windows. Please be sure that all applications running in your PC are closed when reinstalling the software.
You might also want to check the Windows Update site for any system or Internet Explorer updates which are available for your machine. You can reach it by clicking Tools > Windows Update in the Internet Explorer menu.

Did that before I posted my notice. Used add & remove program etc. This is an old installation which had worked for quite some time then started acting up this afternoon. This is the only program that is having problems and of course one that I rely on.
Please try the following:
1. uninstall SMPro
2. using Windows Explorer, manually remove the following files from the WINDOWS\SYSTEM folder:
- imagr4.dll
- imagx4.dll
- ImagXpr4.dll
3. install SMPro again.
Have you installed/upgraded any other program during the past day? I am not sure what might have triggered this conflict.

I am still unable to use the program. When I manipulate jpgs within the program it either locks up or I get the fatal exception. This has been going on over the past day.

One of the first things I did. I also ran a number of Norton Utilities checked properties for conflicts uninstalled a few suspects. I'm going to play with memory management this evening and see what that does. In the interim I have a backup computer for occasions like this and have already updated it and brought it on line.
