I find the basic instructions sorely lacking in detail to the point where my last two auctions contained errors which I could not revise. Understand, please, that I am not a young computer wizard and not only need but want the flexibility of a total management program.
If the provider could expand a bit on the instructional portion of the introduction or provide an On Line tutorial it would clarify the listing and follow-up process much easier for the user.

I have to agree with this person's complaint.
Many of the questioned addressed in the intstuctions are very simple and I must say fluff. The question on templates is a great item to point this out. Auction Watch is a service for people to easily put on bids to the auction services. Every time I have to figure out what to do I have to wait till its all quiet here and spend hours combing thru these discussion boards to figure out my problems, and frankly I do not have hours to look thru all this stuff to read the tea leaves. Unless I missed it I do not see any area out in the front (home) or in Sales Manager that will allow you to find out info. Even E-bay has a site map to find things in. I had to use E-bays turbo lister for my 200 bids last week because 1. the Sales manager's Pro is a mess, it crashes all the time. and I don't have the time to play the cat and mouse game of looking thru these boards to make it work. I see ads on E-bay that are hosted by auction watch service with nice lay outs of pictures and would like to do that in my ads. I have spent hours trying to find out how to do this and it is not ready to find. Yes you guys are there to answer questions but when you are out all day at auctions whipping up items for sale. Come home and do the research to put on a bid that is correct, scan the pictures in to the computer and you go to use the system and it crashes, frankly it is unprofessional. My computer has a 1.3 G prcessor and 400 meg of memory and 100 gig drive and on a fast cable modem, this program shoud work. Use E-bays Turbo lister at least it works

If you need help with something and you do not want to search the boards or the FAQ, please feel free to ask us. If you feel something is missing in the FAQ, we can easily update it to make things easier in the future. When you are running SMPro, do you have any other programs open in the background? Also when it crashes are you getting any error messages?

Hello and good morning, I know this sounds like a child, but
1 I asked a question about an hour(last night) before I posted this message and not recieved a return on that question.
2 There are questions in your reply that need answers yet there's not a link to send you the answers.
this is the basis of my problem, I don't think most people mind looking thru instructions to solve their problems, they need to move along with what they are doing or verify that what they are doing is correct. I asked a question at 10:30 p.m. last night it is now 12:45 pm the next day and the question has now been answered. I know it takes time to do these things but that is the point, if the info was a more comprhensive there would not be a need to e-mail many of the questions. Is there a phone # to call for questions? Even the Post office has an instruction guide on line.

I asked the questions regarding your system to get an idea of what is happening when you try to run Pro so I can provide you with the best solution rather than tell you to uninstall/reinstall right away. There are many different things that can cause a program to crash.

Roger here, When I am going to use the Sales manager pro to list, first I have to update it. then i restart the computer and come back to it. i open it up and say no to the update. i start a listing and check on the second page to make sure it is working. I test this by setting the info with E-bay. If the listing sheet stays on i continue if it drops me i start over, including reboot. Sometimes it will work for four or five listings, depending on my pictures then i upload. if i try to go with more i am temping fate. E-bays turbo lister saves the list after each one, even if it drops you it still there when you return. I have un-installed and re-installed this a few times the program seems to be the problem. the build # has been the same so there has not been an update. If I go to the web site to list i do not have a problem. This is 2002 and multi tasking is the order of the day, but it seems that this program wants the entire computer for itself, and that is crazy. You need to look for pictures if not loaded, check the price for a bid on one on the sites its on and get script from the different areas i have bids. the stuff i put on all has to be researched for the correct info and if it is on a bid i have some where i want to use it. but that is walking the tight rope without a net with this program. Will a memory mangement program help with this program or will it also conflict.

Hi Roger,
What version of Pro are you using right now? It should be version 4.2 -- if you updated it once and did the reboot of your system you shouldn't be prompted to update anymore. Unfortunately Pro does not have an auto save feature so if you think you might run into a problem that could cause the system to crash, it is good to save every once in a while. Pro tends to take up a lot of RAM which is why we recommend running it with little or no other applications open in the background. If you have other programs open it can cause Pro to run slowly, or crash. Usually having your browser open is okay. I'm not sure about a memory management program but I can ask engineering, what is the program you were thinking of?
