I spent all day Sunday trying to sync for the first time after installing new SMP version. Have used Vendio successfully for months, no problems before with prior version. I put it in test mode so I could get a debug script, here's what it said:
CSysStreamBase.WriteContents
CSysStorageBaseStream.WriteContents
*********GET**********
ERR: HTTP ERROR: code=1
ERR: RPC ERROR: code=1 msg='Unable to resolve server name'
CSysStreamBase.WriteContents
CSysStorageBaseStream.WriteContents
CSysStreamBase.WriteContents
CSysStorageBaseStream.WriteContents
I'm using a cable modem with DCHP protocols. Error msg when sync fails says check proxy settings, but my ISP doesn't require proxies. I've tried reconfiguring everything in Internet settings, to no avail. I'm on Win98SE. No other problems with web or FTP or mail protocols.
Wish you guys had a tech support phone number, even if a paid service -- was pulling out my hair yesterday, I'm on a deadline to set up auctions for a client!
Did you check your preferences in pro, to make sure that the proxy box was unchecked? Who is your ISP? Let me know if you have done that and we will go from there.

Yes, I made sure the proxy box was unchecked in preferences. I also made sure that my antivirus software's personal firewall was configured to accept input/output from SMPro.
My ISP is Cox -- cable modem.
And of course the new version says I don't have a stored ID every time I create a listing -- but my ID is just fine on the Vendio site.
Thanks for the quick reply ... I'll keep watching for your response.
