I experienced a serious problem launching my auctions last night. Many did not go through and gave me an error message that there was a problem with item specifics. But, some oters did launch. There was nothing different between those that did and those that did not. After several attempts to "correct" an unknown problem, I undid the launch. I would like to know if there was some sort of issue with Vendio or eBay last night that made this problem occur. I have reschuled the auctions to launch tonight. Will I have the same problems again tonight? If so, what needs to be done to correct the "problem"?

Thanks

Hello there,

I would like to confirm that the items that errored out were listed to the same categories as the ones that went through? Also, are you able to do an eBay preview online without receiving an error message now?

Thanks, and sorry for the inconvenience!

Diana

I don't know if the categories were similar or not between the ones that launched and the ones that did not. If there is an issue with using item specifics, what can I do to resolve it? Should I just leave all fields blank? Also, what is an eBay preview? I will try that if you could tell me how to find it.

Thanks

Hi there,

I unscheduled one of your listings to use the eBay Preview function (this is located at the bottom of the listing page, but the listing needs to be unscheduled to find it.)

The listing will error on launch because of the pattern specified in site specifics. This is a known problem with the eBay API for some Porcelain categories, and we have logged the issue with them. We are working with them so that it will be corrected as quickly as possible. In the meantime, if you leave the pattern section blank, it should launch without an error.

I would recommend unscheduling your pending listings to do an eBay preview. This will allow you to determine if there is a problem with the site specifics, as if there is they will error on launch.

Again, I apologize for the inconvenience. I will bring this to the attention of our engineers so that they can escalate it to eBay.

Thanks,

Diana
