Hello
I have just started a 2nd ID on ebay and Vendio. I have Sales Pro with the first id and can't stand listing online with the second id.
Can I copy the first Sales Pro and then just change ID's on it and have 2 Sales Pros at the same time? Will that hurt my images in the first one?
Hope this makes sense.
Also I use the link for the 2 week trail on the new one but don't mind paying if I need to - it was just easier that way?
Thanks
If you have two or more Vendio accounts, the easiest way to keep your account information separate is to install an individual copy of SM Pro on your computer for each Vendio account.
The first step is to download the install kit from our site (be sure to select the "save to disk" option.) The same install kit can be used to install all SM Pro copies.
The second step is to install the program into separate locations. The first copy is installed into " C: \Program Files\ " folder by default. You will need to create a unique file folder for each additional copy that is to be installed. You may create these folders wherever you like on your hard drive, but be sure to name the files so that you will easily be able to find them later.
Run the installer for Sales Manager Pro, when the prompt comes up asking you where to install it, select and install to default ( "C: \Program Files\ " ). After this is done, run the installer again, and install it to the alternate location you have selected ( C: \Vendio\eBay_id is an example.)
At this point, you should have two AuctionWatch (or Vendio) icons on the desktop, so you should rename one of them so that you will be able to differentiate it from the other.
Now you should have 2 working copies of SM Pro, one for each of your IDs. Simply launch the copy you want via your labeled icons. Let us know if you have any further questions.
Regards,
Sonya

Thanks for your reply and sorry to take so long to get back but I just put it on the back burner for awhile.
I am not real sure I understand - I already have SMPro under one name - can I somehow copy and change the copy to my new id?
If I download to disk - do I need a CD burner or will a regular floppy hold it. I thought it was too large for that.
Sorry to sound so dumb but I know antiques and collectibles better than computers?
Thanks again for trying to help.

Hello,
When you choose the option to download it to disk, it actually refers to your computer, as your hard drive on your computer is a disk as well. You do not need to save it to a CD, and it would not fit on a floppy.
You will need to actually download another copy of the program though, so you can set it up to list to your other Vendio ID.
Note that when you install this second copy, you will not want to go with the default settings each time. Note the message above where it mentions loading it to another directory.
If you are still foggy on this process, just let us know, we may able to simply arrange a time to give you a call and walk you through the process quickly. It is not too time consuming, but it is a little tricky.

Hello - I'm back again
I think I may understand but have a couple of questions. I can try it later and if it doesn't work - I would really appreciate a phone conversation to resolve this - thanks so much for offering - you guys are the greatest!!!
OK I would download another copy from your site to the default setting (assuming this won't make me lose my batches or setting in number one SMPro). Then when I install it - I would not install it in the default but to another file that I have created on my desktop. I think it is this part that has me a bit confused - can I just pick another program file or do I have to create one?
If I won't lose my stuff from #1 I could just try it and then what you are saying would make more sense.
Thanks

Hi
No one ever answered me so when 5.2 came out I tried to install it in both id's.
Well I have 2 icons but both are the same and now I have lost all my photos from my first and big money making account.
Is there a way to upload these quicker.
If I delete online first will that help? This may take all night and I don't have all night.
Please advise.
Thanks

Hello ladyjewels2000,
Keep in mind that you needed to install the new version to both locations where you old copies were loaded to. When you installed your second copy last time around, you had to point it somewhere other than the default, so when you load your second copy of 5.2, you need to direct it to the same location where your second copy was loaded before. Essentially, both are still there and you did not lose anything, its just that both of your icons point to the same program now.

Hi Christopher
Sorry but you misunderstood - I never had a copy of 5.1 installed for ebabestreasures - so I tried to installed 5.2 for that ID but I lost the ladyjewels stuff. I may have changed the name - it's all a big blur now.
Apparently I didn't do it right but now I will have to synchronize ladyjewels again to get my photos back or to list some items tonight? I don't need the photos right now but don't want to delete them. Is there away to just synchronize any new images for tonight's listing only?
Maybe I could call you tomorrow and you could tell me what I have done wrong or email me directly.
I think my main problem is changing the default - is that what I need to do when I "save to disk" during the download - if so how do I set that up - right click on my desktop and make a new folder or do I add or change a program-I don't have a clue how to do that? Sonya said I could use the same copy to install for both ID's but it sounded like you were saying I need two different copies?
I really feel like I'm close to getting this but maybe we are using different terms for the same thing?
Thanks

Hello,
Sorry for the confusion. What has probably happened then is that your old copy of Pro was loaded to the AuctionWatch directory, and your new one is in a directory called Vendio.
Click to install the program again, and when it comes up asking where to install it to, click browse instead of going with the default Vendio location, and navigate to the AuctionWatch directory instead. Install the new copy to the AuctionWatch directory, and it will update your old version for you, so you can continue with your old data, without needing to download all of the images again.

I don't find anything under Auctionwatch but I did find this without a shortcut key - could this be it:"C:\Program Files\Vendio\AMPro.exe"
I don't know if this matters but I have always use the install from this location when I download an updated version?
Thanks

Never mind - they all say that.
I'll get back on this tomorrow - I'll just list online tonight.
Thanks and sorry to be such a pain.
