Just got SMPro 5.2 all my inventory imported, set up my profiles, went to change a profile and the system froze. Reloaded the program...did it again. Does it every time I try to change a profile. I click OK and that is all she wrote.
I am running a P4, 2.6 Ghz, 1 gig of ram...so I have more than enough computing power.
HELP!

Hi Sean,
Try uninstalling/reinstalling Pro -- this may take care of the problem. If it continues let us know.

Did as you asked and uninstalled and reinstalled. Same thing. I change the profile from default to the new one I created (which all it does is change the template), I click "Ok" and the program locks up. I have to go to alt-ctl-del (using Windows XP Home), and I get the status message that SMPro is "Not Responding", so I have to end task the program to get it to even close. Any other suggestions?
And just a note, I would REALLY like a template chooser in the iventory items edit windows. It is the only reason I had to create this profile.

Hello,
It is behaving as if you are running out of memory. Since you state you have at least a gig of memory -- are you running anything else at the same time as Pro? Try running only Pro, if that is the case.
Let us know how this works out.

Sonya

No other programs have been running while trying to run SMPro. CPU Usage as monitered by Windows Task Manager shows only 5% of resources being used.

One other thing I am noticing, when I am in SMPro and tell it to bring up the inventory it takes a good 4 - 5 minutes of my hard drive spinning before it comes up. I deleted some of the auctions I had in SMBE, but in SMBE they popped up immediately.

Hello Sean,
Did you use another version of SMPro before? Did the profile problem start only after this update to v5.2? How many profiles do you have?
If you have many items, the time to load the SMPro inventory might indeed be long. You might want to consider either deleting unused inventory items; or creating batches of listings. To create listings, all you need to do is to copy and paste (drag and drop) inventory items into batch windows. Then, you can save the batches to disk and upload them when needed.
Thanks,
-Radu

I have had the same problem as the previous user with the screen freezing when using SMPRO 5.2. I used it last night to launch 15 auctions to Ebay with no problems. Today it has frozen two different times. I have to do a Ctl, Alt, Delete to end the program. I had no other programs running at the time. Help please. This is taking much of my time.

Hi Dorrie,
Try uninstalling/reinstalling Pro, to see if this fixes the problem. Let us know if it does not.

I too am having problems with uploading and getting a system freeze. Only program running is SMPro 5.2. I get the freeze during a download from Vendio of the ebay.xml file at about 98%. I reverted to AMPRO 4.2 which I still had and it did the same thing. No other changes have been made to system. Just uploaded in early Sept with 5.2 and had no problems. Is there some way to upload without downloading the ebay.xml file.

Hello amraambob,
It is possible that you just encounter a delay in downloading the ebay.xml file, which has become larger with the addition of new eBay categories. SMPro might seem frozen for a while, but it should still be able to complete the operation properly.
If possible, please wait a little longer for the synchronization to finish. There is no way to bypass the download of the latest eBay categories, neither in SMPro v5.2, nor in older versions.
Thanks,
-Radu

I have waited up to 30 minutes. If I use CTRL-ALT-DEL I get the message SMPRO is not responding. There is something wrong with the ebay.xml file or some other problem. I have reloaded Auction Watch 4.2 and SMPro 5.1 with same results.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I have even deleted all the directories and then reinstalled.

Hello amraambob,
We need to look into some sort of Internet communication problem then. Do you use a proxy or firewall?
What type of Internet connection do you use, and what is your ISP?
Thanks,
-Radu

Hello
I use Win98se with IE6.0. I also have Norton Antivirus running but have disabled it for one of the times I was trying to upload.
No Firewall, as I am the only computer connected with this ADSL Verizon network. My ISP is Verison.net
My computer is a P4 with 256k of Memory and a 30gig hard drive with about 20gig available.

I have continued to troubleshoot all day. Gave up and used Ebay's TurboLister to list current auctions.
I have done everything as asked in a private email with negative results.
There is some problem with my downloading ebay.xml from Vendio. I suspect an imcomplete file or some type of error in config on my side.
Cannot get past this in any type of Synchronization.

Well after several days of great frustration I was finally able to get a download of the ebay.xml from Vendio. I can now get a full synchronization to complete.
I had to completely clean out some of my windows system files and reinstall from both the Windows updates and other sources. On the 6th clean download of SMPro 5.2 it finally took.

Mine freezes up when I try to select more than one photo using the Shift and arrow keys. I wanted to move photos out of one folder and into another, something I do every day with the old version, and every time I try to do it it freezes. Yes, I've tried reinstalling.
BTW, I wish you guys had warned me that all my info was going to go Poof when I downloaded this version. It took forever to re-download all my pics.
