Okay, this is a weird problem, and I'm sure it's a setting somewhere on my computer that's messed up, but I just can't figure it out!
What's happening is when I look at SM Pro, I can't read the writing on, for example, create a new listing box.. All the writing is bunched up and mixed together. I took a screenshot of it, but not sure how I would show it here, or if I could.
I think maybe it's a java setting? I don't really know. I'm pretty new to all this stuff, but it's impossible for me to use SMPro like this.
Please check your display settings, for instance whether you are using large fonts or some other unusual setting.
If your computer is running Windows XP, you might also consider switching to the Windows Classic desktop theme. For this:
- right click the desktop
- click Properties
- on the Themes tab, pick "Windows Classic" from the Theme drop-down
- click OK.
Please let us know if this helped fix your problem.

I've tried all of that.. is there a way I can send you a screenshot of what's happening? It's really hard to explain.. I have to figure it's some sort of java setting, but I can't figure it out. I'm just not savy enough! hah. I'd really like to figure this out, because as it stands now, I can't use SAPro at all.
I have received the screenshot, I apologize for the delay. It looks like a memory issue from what I see. Try running Pro with nothing else running in the background. How much RAM do you have?

I have 384mb RAM. I ran SMP with nothing else running at all, and still get the same thing. Made sure no other user logged into the computer etc. So there was plenty of RAM.
Thanks for your help with this, I appreciate it. Hopefully we can figure out what is going on.

6 days since I posted this and still hope for one responce every few days from Customer Service.. is this normal for Vendio? Seems like a pretty nice community of folks on the boards, hopefully the very slow responce to this problem isn't normal. I'd really like to be able to use the tools I'm paying for. I bypassed the 2 week trail and dove straight in.. thinking maybe that was a mistake

Just another user here, I don't know how to help you, but the slow response has been my experience lately. I have had to, & been lucky to, have been able to figure things out on my own.
Are you using one of the new customizable templates? There are some bugs in the way they have thing set up in them.

Hi there,
I am not sure what is causing this problem, but I would recommend uninstalling and redownloading/reinstalling the application. Just make sure that when you reinstall you save to the same directory as the current installation (this way your batches/images will be retained.) It sounds as though there may be some data corruption somewhere.

Hi, I've already done this, twice actually. I have been able to do nothing in SMP so far because I can't read what the tools says (as the screenshot I sent shows)..
The problem would not be a java setting -- I would suspect it might be, if it were online you were having this trouble. It is the way your computer is viewing the program. We just released Pro 5.3 yesterday, try downloading that and let us know if you get this on that version as well.

Hi,
I'm just a user here but I have a couple of suggestions and a question.
What is your operating system?
I presume from your posts that you haven't used smp at all. If this is correct, you might want to try the following:
1. Uninstall it using the control panel uninstall.
2. Go to your programs (program files) folder/directory; highlight it and delete it.
3. Delete any Vindeo downloads and check your temp files and delete them in explore on your hard drive not your browser.
4. Open your browser and delete all your cookies and temp files.
5. Search for spybot and download it. It is free.
6. Install and run it. (be sure you know all your user names and passwords because it will delete them.)
7. Defrag your hard drive.
8. Reboot
9. Redownload smp
10. reinstall smp
If you know all this, I apologize for being so specific. I have found that I usually solve almost any problem this way.
I hope this helps. Let me know what happens.
Good luck!
Paula

ps Don't ask why... I don't know but I have been a tech for years and sometimes this works.
