i'm having a problem when shipping/handling fees have to be calculated after the end of an auction. i put all the info in my auction description, but people don't read it. the when they get the wbn or link, it apparently has no shipping/handling fees on it and they think all they have to pay is the winning bid amount. isn't there a way to put "to be determined" in there somewhere so the buyer will know that there are more fees involved? thanks.

i always follow up with my own email as soon as possible, usually right away, but sometimes the buyer goes to paypal immediately and pays the winning bid amount. was just trying to find a better way. thanks.

Not sure there's a better way!
Some do exactly what you said, then I refund and send a request for payment with totals listed using the PAYPAL form.
There's no way to stop some buyers from leaving the shipping out, unfortunately!

thanks for the tip. maybe i will do the refund thing and then request the total due. it's difficult to ask and get another payment for shipping/handling fees. i just wish buyers would READ!

mysal,
If you accept the payment w/out the shipping included, then request the shipping separately, you end up paying fees 2X...aggravating!
Some buyers just bid and don't read anything!
You are soooo right!
