Hi. I am experimenting with a new template designed in template manager and single attached image in a centered and split layout. I have just created and uploaded a test auction with it through SMPro. It is now in my pending auctions due to launch in about 2 hours and the preview on the pending auction edit screen is correct. When I created this and previewed it in the template workshop, it also came out fine--just like the preview now in pending.
The question: When I previewed it in SmPro during item creation there was a black 1 pixel or so line/box around the image and there was not just one but 2 preferred checkout links appearing at the bottom. I do not have any of the checkout html embedded in my own html that I uploaded, so the program loaded it in twice for the SmPro preview screen. Both the box around the pic and the doubled checkout are not present either in the template preview or the uploaded pending preview so I assume it will launch correctly. Any idea what is happening in the SmPro creationn and preview process to introduce those 2 errors? Thanks!

Hi there,
I've tried to duplicate this on my system and cannot. Are you using a custom template for this listing? Also, is this the only listing that's affected or are others you create in Pro using different templates showing the same problem?

Hi Diana. Thanks for the reply back. No, I think I said everything correctly in my original post already.
The template was recently created in the Vendio template workshop (nothing I made outside the system) and I now have 2 saved versions of it: one called pinknyellow and one called pinknyellowSTACK. They are the same except they have different Vendio layout choices associated. They both look fine in the template workshop previews and in the final pending auction full previews, but during creation in SMPro the full screen preview under the Preview Tab adds an extra 1 pixel black bounding box around the pic and shows a doubling of the preferred checkout(one right below the other) at the bottom. I do not have any preferred checkout html in the html I paste in that would duplicate the checkout section above the one Vendio rolls in automatically for me.
I listed 7 auctions last night and did 4 more this afternoon that are in pending now, 10 using one template and 1 using the one with the stacked layout, and it happened with all of them on the SmPro preview screen but they are fine once they get to pending after sync. You won't see it in any of my listings because they come out okay by then. It's just in the SMPro preview screen/Preview Tab, and it is a new glitch not there before now.
How would I best go about sending you a copy of what comes up on my preview screen so you can see it for yourself? The preview screen will not allow me to access the source code to view or copy to send to you--I just tried that. I suppose I could take digital pics of the screen and email them as attachments to an address. Would that work?

Hi there,
You should be able to take a screenshot, save it as a jpeg, and send it to me at [email protected]. I don't know why this would be happening, unless it is related to the specific templates you're using. Can you preview listings with other templates without the same effect?

Hi. These are the first templates I have used that I have created with the template workshop, and the first that I have used with any of Vendio's layout options associated with them, and it happens consistently with both of them. When I had the store I used the store template with an embedded layout, and after that I ran totally custom html and all embedded images except for the preview image uploaded separately with the blank template, and it never happened with any of those.
Do you have access to our batches saved in SmPro, or is that only stored on our local computer? I did go back tonight to re-do and save one batch (called Batch #2) which are the 4 auctions that are launching now, and if you click any of them and hit the Edit button at the bottom and then the Preview tab at the top you will see it.
I'll do the screen shots tonight and send them off to you, but I'm having trouble getting clean images because there is some kind of digital interaction and I get wide bands of gray color continuously scrolling up the viewfinder--so ignore any wide gray horizontal bands. Just look for the thin black square around the pic and the double checkout.

I got the screenshots and can see them clearly enough to see the problem. We don't have access to your batches, but if you want to email me a small batch, I'd be happy to look from here and see if I get the same effect.

Hi Diana. Thanks for getting back to me so fast. Since everything launches okay there's no need for you to do this over a weekend--whenever it is more convenient is fine.
I usually don't save batches--I just saved the one with the 4 recent auctions including the one I sent you screenshots on so you could access it if you needed to, and all 4 show the same thing. How do I email it to you so all the links etc are still working when you get it and cicking the line item and edit button will bring up the upper tab screens for you--if I sent it as a copy and paste notepad/word document attachment wouldn't you just get the chart?

I have heard back from engineering, and apparently this is an SM Pro glitch that exists for certain template layouts (2 Images on Bottom, 2 Images on Top, Centered and Split.) We will be correcting this in a later version of SM Pro.
As for the black border issue, custom templates add a border around the image. The border may appear black in SM Pro preview as the browser function used in SM Pro is much simpler than the full version of IE. So these may appear black in Pro even if a different color was chosen when you created the template. Your listings will launch according to the template preferences online.

Hi Diana. Thanks so much for sticking with this til there was some real info available. You can tell engineering that in addition to their known three, the glitch also happens with the "all images stacked on top" layout (which my second template demonstrates).
If custom templates automatically add a border during creation it must be a 1 pixel transparent border because there is no border for the online template workshop previews either (I didn't choose/add one in any color for my online or offline preferences, so changing the color doesn't help--there is nothing I can change if I didn't select it to begin with). I never do template preferences in SMPro. I always do them online in the template workshop and then sync them down.
