Hi there,
We are having a terrible time with the new category validation. We sell in records/33 1/3/classical normally. We have lots of batches of hundreds of items listed in advance.
When we open the batches to upload the items are all highlighted yellow and the program asks for validation. We are not able to copy or save these batches. After going through the batches and changing the category for the validation (some of these batches have over 200 items and take quite a few hours of work), the programe successfully complete the validation and an error message appears "you have performed and illegal action...." and sales manager shuts down. None of the updates are saved.
This very frustrating and has already cost us more than a day's work. We are not able to upload the batches and so need to fix this problem urgently.

Hi Kirsten,
Please try SM Pro's multiple edit feature, which would help in making the conversion process quicker. You can select multiple listings in the "Convert Batch" window, then click the menu entry Listing > Edit Batch Listing and enter the new values for category and, perhaps, Item Specifics. These values will then be applied to all selected listings. It is true, though, that you'll still need to validate them individually afterward, by double-clicking and then clicking OK.
As for the crash, please make sure that you have the latest Windows updates installed. To do this, please go to the Windows Update site (click Tools > Windows Update in the Internet Explorer menu). Install the critical updates and Service Packs the site recommends, especially those for Windows and Internet Explorer.
You might also want to close other running programs while editing. Also, please close and restart SM Pro after converting and saving each batch.
