Is it possible to design our own template that is not constrained by Template Workshop? What are the parameters and specs for design?
You are not required to use the Vendio template workshop to create your auctions, you could use the basic 'blank' template that Vendio offers and paste your description and template HTML directly into the item description area when you list.
Just be sure to use the eBay preview prior to launching to be sure all of the code on the page appears as you wish once live.

Does that mean we have to cut and paste in SMP desc. area, or can we have a profile set up with all the graphics, layout, etc. and only need to type in the desc. information for the item?
Since you are using Pro, it is best to store your template HTML as an inventory item. Then, you can launch from inventory to your batch and the template HTML will remain intact. The profiles in Pro are only for preferences, but you can also use those with this method.
