I'm trying to upload a batch of 8 items (sales manager pro) and it fails when it gets to the images upload. I've tried to split and checked the 7 points I found on a list answering previous similar questions, everything is accordingly.
I don't upload anything for some time (months) is there any change or problem because of this fact?
In order to troubleshoot this, please try uploading the images one at a time. If you are not able to upload any of the images, please click the "details" button when the synchronization is taking place, and paste the details in here. It may be that the images are too large, or have become corrupted, or are in the wrong format, etc.

I've tried all that before posting the problem and the details mentioned bad server response and suggested the same you did ('images are too large, or have become corrupted, or are in the wrong format, etc.'). Meanwhile I read other messages in this posting and found this one:

Edited for final time - For anybody reading this with this same problem all you have to do is sign up for a hosting plan. Not having any pics on Vendio server over the summer it was not done automatically. After many hours of frustration and wasted time and energy this is what we figured out by ourselves. "
I signed up for the image hosting plan and everything was solved. Indeed I mentioned that I didn't use sales manager pro for some months...
I hope that when other user refers the same problem you should consider this solution...
