I sure hope someone can help me.
About three weeks ago I deleted an old email address at Paypal. I had not had that email address for about 6 months. So I deleted it.
I also check the Ebay site and made sure that the address had been deleted there as well and it had been.
I also checked my vendio account and all is well there.
But every since I deleted the old address from Paypal, payments that are made through the ebay check out system have been going to the old paypal account! I have no way of receiving these payments, I don't even know that the payments have been made until the customers reply to my WBN sent through Vendio telling me that they have already sent payment.
I have contacted ebay and paypal. Ebay was of no help, they said that everything in my account looked fine and couldn't understand why the payments were being sent to the wrong account, even though they are the ones sending the money to the wrong account!
A Paypal Rep. instructed me that I would have to return to ebay and use their "create an auction" system. I would have to create a new auction using their system and change my Paypal address there. I did this and sure enought there was the old Paypal address, so I changed to my new address and ran the (test)auction for 24hrs. The Paypal Rep. said this would take care of the problem. I let the (test) auction end before listing any new auctions via my Vendio Sales manager program.
Payments are still being sent to the wrong account! What more can I do?
I have just changed my "Payment Receiving Preferences on PayPal". To "Block Payments from users who initiate payments from the Send Money tab". I have changed the "Alternate Payment URL" box to
http://www.vendio.com/checkout.x
I sell items directly to customers, off ebay, and they sometimes pay using Paypal. By changing this preference will it have any effect on off ebay payments sent?
I have also canceled all of the following preferences at the ebay site in my "PayPal Preferences"
1. Offer PayPal as a payment method in all my listings.
2.Tell Buyers that I prefer PayPal payments.
3.Show my buyers low monthly payments possible with PayPal Buyer Credit.
4.Include my items when buyers pay all their sellers at once using PayPal.
I have also check the button "Show the Pay Now Button only in listings where I offer PayPal (formerly "Checkout Off""
Can you tell me if all of this is enough to stop the ebay checkout from even being offered an screwing up my payments?

Hello Curtis,
First double check your stored PayPal address here in Vendio, via the My Account page using the Global Preferences link.
Next, go to create and list another auction directly at eBay. Verify that they have now stored your updated address properly when going to list a new item from their site.
If this only happens when the payments come from the eBay checkout directly, this must be where the old address is still stored.
What the PayPal rep told you was correct though, this is typically where the bad address is found and corrected.

Hello Christopher,
Thanks for the fast reply.
I have done all that you have suggested and all has checked out, OK.
Since I posted the question, I got to thinking, perhaps the auctions that I'm currently having problems with were "relisted" auctions (through Vendio) rather then new auctions sent from SMP. I believe this maybe the source of my current problems, what do you think?
Also could you please answer the following;
I have just changed my "Payment Receiving Preferences on PayPal". To "Block Payments from users who initiate payments from the Send Money tab". I have changed the "Alternate Payment URL" box to
http://www.vendio.com/checkout.x

The items that were active when the old address was stored will retain it. You would need to edit those items manually to correct. All newly listed/relisted items should pick up the new address.
As for blocking payments from the send money tab, this would only effect users trying to send you money without going through a checkout system - aka when users just go to paypal directly and click to send your email address X amount of funds.
