I don't understand the ship and handling features. I have been marking the line that says something like "don't show any fees now, I will do later". If you set the global fees , aren't they the same regardless whoether the real cost is 4.00 or 40.00 for an item? I don't want to say will ship for 4.00 on all my ads and have to pay alot more for it. I dont want to overcharge and have people living close to me pay what it would cost to ship across the USA either. The only thing I can see being global is the type of shipping ... first class, etc. Each ad has different cost in ship and handling and I want each ad to reflect that. How would I do that?
Once I messed with inserting the cost and ship options and my ad came up saying ship was $0.00!! I didn't know how to fix it so I revised my ad in ebay telling everyone to disregard my free shipping !!!

Hello,

If you are using Sales Manager Pro to list your items, there are a number of fields available on that first tab of the listing process that you can use to set the shipping carrier and cost.

Just be sure that if you are going to list the fees up front, that you only have a check beside the listed carriers that have valid amounts beside them. Be sure any shipping carriers listing $0.00 as the cost beside them are unchecked.

If you are going to calculate the shipping costs later on and after the auction has closed, be sure that none of those carrier boxes are checked and that the boxes just above for the Checkout and WBN are also unchecked.

Regards,
Christopher

I am using regular sales manger I think. Must I update the plan to insert calculator and customer figure their own rate by inserting there zip. I want to do like I do in ebay ads with the calculator. It figures the rate for each persons zip.

Hello,

You don't have to do anything, just make sure that in Global Preferences at the top in Shipping and Handling that your zip code is entered in correctly. And make sure you've got the options enabled for the calculator.

If you were using Sales Manager Pro, you'd be on a downloaded program instead of being online in your web browser.

I hope this helps.

Regards,

Sonya
