I've been a customer of vendios since it was auction watch, so I'm not new but, recently I decided to enlarge my online business via upgrading my account and adding options with vendio.

I've been using SMP to list my items on ebay and have been very happy with it. In the past I would upload my auction items from SMP. If they didn't sell the first time around I'd re-list them using the re-list tool online. This all worked fine. I did try to use the inventory system but got lost trying to understand it and reverted back to my pencil and paper method.

I now want to open a Vendio store and cross sale / up sale my auction & store items. Currently about 75% of my items are repeat items or other words inventoried items. I would also like to get a handle on the inventory, listing and shipping options features that are part of Vendio.

After spending more then a month trying to figure things out for myself, I give up! I have some questions, could you please answer as quickly as possible?

1. Would it be easier and better if I was to quit using SMP for creating my listings?
2. Is the SMP and the online inventory program completely integrated?
3. If I want to choose the cross sale items for my auction items, do I need to create the listing on line, rather then with SMP? If not how do I set the cross sale items?
4. If I want to keep track of my inventoried items, do I need to do this online rather then with SMP?
5. How do I include the shipping calculator in some auctions and not in others?
6. If I have a inventoried item listed in the store, with 1 available and it sells. Is there some sort of notice that lets me know I'm out of stock and the item has been removed from the store? Or is it up to me to manually keep up with my depleted inventory?

Thank you in advance,
Curtis

Hello Curtis,

1. Would it be easier and better if I was to quit using SMP for creating my listings?

From the scenario you are using now, yes, listing from the online tools and using its inventory system would be ideal Vs Pro.

2. Is the SMP and the online inventory program completely integrated?

No, you would use one or the other to create and manage your items, not both inventory systems.

3. If I want to choose the cross sale items for my auction items, do I need to create the listing on line, rather then with SMP? If not how do I set the cross sale items?

In order to do cross-promotion, you will need to list your items from the online tools instead and use the online inventory system.

4. If I want to keep track of my inventoried items, do I need to do this online rather then with SMP?

Only the online inventory system is able to track items round trip while at market, you wouldnt want to use Pro for this.

5. How do I include the shipping calculator in some auctions and not in others?

The shipping calculator we have for USPS currently will only show up in your auctions for items using a Calculated USPS shipping carrier. All other carriers and methods will not display the calculator in your ads.

6. If I have a inventoried item listed in the store, with 1 available and it sells. Is there some sort of notice that lets me know I'm out of stock and the item has been removed from the store? Or is it up to me to manually keep up with my depleted inventory?

There is no system in place to notify you specifically when you are down to zero items. You would need to watch inventory and the 'quantity available' column for items that have all sold.

Go to this page and click the 'Get a Recommendation' link next to the Sales Manager plan. This will help you choose which inventory system we currently have available will be best for you.

Regards,
Christopher
