For the past few days - I have been getting an error message when I try to open my Sales Manager Pro. I have not upgraded yet and was wondering if I should up un-install my old SMP before I upload the new one??
Thanks

I can't copy it but it says:
"SMPro is unable to excute this operation"
Please close all your other program or restart SMPro
I really has worked very well for months but now I get this as soon as I hit the list item button.

Hello,
Can you confirm your operating system information with us, and let us know if you recently changed anything about it? That seems strange it would happen out of the blue like that. Is it a consistent error or does it only happen sometimes (or most of the time)?

Sonya

I have Windows98SE. It happens all the time. I also can't edit old batches. I deleted as many as I could hoping to help but no luck.
I can't think of anything that changed.

Here's another weird one - since I installed the new SMPro (which I can't use) all my filed images are not unfiled. Also, I think my SMPro is empty of photo but of course I can't really get that far to tell for sure. Boy this sure makes listing hard.

all your pics will be there, but filed differently, hopefully, at least mine were
we had a different set of files in image hosting online than we had on our computor, and now we have both sets on the computor and online but all the pics are there, we just gotta get the same folders everywhere. I like the new image handling capabilities, I just have to change my system to match it.

I was able to get a listing started today but it would not synchronize - I'm not sure I'm the only one with that problem.
Thanks dudlee
The photos are there but are all in the unfiled folders. Do you know if I can move them withing SMPro or do I have to go online?

Well I finally got one auction done and launched - too bad it was a test auction. Now am back to the original problem.
I have been able to do one auciton in the last week & a half using SMPro. I hate listing online especially now that all my images have gone back to unfiled - it takes forever.
Is anyone going to offer help from Vendio??

Hello ladyjewels2000,
Uninstall and reinstall once more. This time when asked if you want to remove all shared files, say yes.
When you reinstall, be sure that you have downloaded the program and then installed it and not selected to run or open it when on the download page.

Christopher

Hi Christopher
I have been doing some file maintenance for my images to set them back up in the files that I lost last time.
How do I keep these filed correctly??
Thanks

Hello,
Where have you been doing this file maintenence if not able to get into the Pro software?
If you have been doing it online, no worries, the new 6.1 software will pick up your online folders for image hosting and match that exactly in the Pro software once its installed and running properly.
The new program will be synching with the online image hosting now.

Christopher

Would it be possible to get some help with this problem. SMPro is still having this same problem off and on. I am getting very irritated as SMPro is the main reason I use Vendio.
If I don't get the error when starting a listing - it will let me "almost" finish and then the whole thing will just go pooh

Hello,
Our apologies for the delay. What is the current behavior exactly?
Your getting a message when you try to launch saying that Pro cannot execute an operation?
Or is there new issue happening only once you are in the program and working?
From the Sales Manager page, click on the Sales Manager Pro link along the left hand side of the page. Click the download button and be sure to use the Save option when prompted, do not run from its current location.
Regards,
Christopher

Hi Ladyjewels2000,
I have escalated this thread to one of our engineers who is an expert in Pro. So this is still happening intermittently? Or is it all the time now?

Hello,
1. Please go to the Windows Update site (click Tools > Windows Update in the Internet Explorer menu). Install the critical updates and Service Packs the site recommends, especially those for Windows and Internet Explorer.
2. Install also Visual Basic 6.0 SP6 Run-Time Files. The link to this kit is:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=7b9ba261-7a9c-43e7-9117-f673077ffb3c&displaylang=en
3. If the program is still not working properly, please uninstall and install SM Pro again.
Thanks,
-Radu
