Why does BidPay appear (and in such a large image) on my listings when I've clicked everywhere that I accept only PayPal? Can I get it off?

Thanks,
Tom

Hi there,

If you're uploading from SM Pro, please take the following steps:

1. Synch SM Pro without uploading anything.
2. Close the application and reopen it.
3. Check the values in your SM Pro defaul and custom profiles and make sure that Bidpay is not selected.
4. Check your existing batch and inventory listings to make sure Bidpay is not selected.

Once this is completed, your new listings uploaded from Pro should not contain the Bidpay option. It sounds like you have this option stored in Pro and it is overriding what you have stored in preferences online.

Thanks,

Diana

I am having the same problem. Checked through everything. I don't have bidpay selected anywhere. I even unchecked paypal. Synched and now Paypal is gone, but Bidpay is still there.

Hello,

From the My Account page, click on the Global Preferences link found within. From here, scroll to your list of payment options and uncheck the box next to Money Orders to disable the BidPay option for your buyers.

Click to save the change when finished.

Christopher

Well gee, that's just a great fix. We have to NOT take money orders to get rid of Bid Pay? Could we just FIX the problem instead of finding a way around it that will cause even more problems, that being the fact that if we uncheck money orders the buyers will think we do not take money orders. Duh

Hello Mike,

Re-read what I mentioned above, I never said *NOT* to accept Money Orders.

I did however say: "uncheck the box next to Money Orders to disable the BidPay option for your buyers."

That being said, there does appear to be a problem with the preview page in the Pro software displaying this logo regardless of your preferences.

I tested this and it will never transfer to your live listings, so you can ignore it and go off what you know your preferences to be setup with currently instead.

Christopher

Well, I've unchecked BOTH money order and BidPay in my Global Preferences, synchronized SMP, made sure the profile I'm using has ONLY PayPal, and yet when I preview a listing there it is...a BIG BidPay at the end of a string of credit cards.

Beneath the PayPal/credit cards/BidPay graphics there's this line:

I accept the following forms of payment:
. PayPal

What else can we try? It's clearly misleading to have the big BidPay image and yet not offer it.

Thanks,
Tom
