Hello,
Ever since I upgraded to the new version, customers checking out with more than 1 item are getting the wrong shipping total. I have Prefs set up to take 50% off each additional item....but checkout is charging full price for each. With the Holiday season here I can not keep up with trying to adjust shipping for everyone.
The rate calc. on the auction is for Calculated UPS ground, 3 day select, 2nd day air, next day and USPS Priority...can you tell me what I need to do to fix this please~~ THANKS

in regards to your issue here. I have the new version of SMP and when i do the shipping setup on the bid it does not automatically put in the 50% reduction of the second item or more. I have had that in my preferences for years and it has worked for years.
What i have to do to make it work is actually put in the amount for the extra items then it will work. So to keep the thing straight what i do is make the first bid up, fix everything then save it. then copy that bid over and over and change the pictures and particulars. even if i change the shipping the thing will make it 50% from then on.
so there you have it!

Hi Christopher,
Ok, I am not really getting this straight. I previously used FIXED shipping for UPS and CALCULATED shipping for USPS and it worked fine before (at least no one ever complained for being overcharged)
But I went into my account and re-read the combined shipping section and do see what you mean....my question now is how can I offer some kind of discount to the customer to make them want to purchase more merchandise from me (or all at one place) because they feel they are saving shipping $$
I hope this makes sense, sorry but it's 4:00 AM here and I have been up since 6:00 AM yesterday....I am not sure I can even spell anymore...LOL

Hello Lisae,
You can always put a clause in your auctions or in your WBNs telling customers something like, "for calculated shipping -- please contact me for information on how you can save on shipping" -- then when they do contact you, you can send a combined invoice with Unified shipping which will allow you to specify weight and dimensions for a package.
