This morning I get this error after synching. I am thinking it is due to the expansion of the ebay categories.
This message occurs when I try to open a previous listing or try to create a new ebay listing:
Here is the message:
SMProf is unable to execute this operation. to continue please save your work, close other running programs or restart SMProg, and try the command again.
Since it worked prior to changing the ebay categories and neither of the fixes suggested worked, I think it is due to the category changes. What do you think and will there be a fix for this?

Hello Beth,
You are correct. This is related to the category changes. We are aware of the problem you are reporting, and it has been escalated to our engineering group as a high-priority issue. We are actively evaluating the issue and hope to have a resolution shortly.
In the meantime, to work around the problem, you should be able to create a new listing through Sales Manager Merchandising or Inventory Edition.
We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you. Thank you for your patience.
We released a patch today so you can start using the SMPro software again.
We should have support available for the new categories by Monday of next week.
What you will need to do to list again:
Go to your account online, visit the My Account page, then click the 'eBay' link under the heading 'Site Specifics.'
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click to 'save' the change, even if you didn't change anything at all.
Next, open the SMPro software, synchronize and restart the application.
When finished, you should be able to list again without error, at least until we can release full support for the new eBay store category options.

Yes, it works but with the old categories, which means you would have to edit each one prior to launch. Might as well just do it online.
Til Monday...

I STILL cannot open previous batch files and I am getting the same message specified by the OP after following the instructions under site specifics.
I have an entire weekend of work not to mention all my previous saved listings that will be lost if these files are corrupted.
Further, why did I have to come to this thread to view the "fix"? Where was the announcement and why didn't Vendio notify me that I shouldn't have updated categories via email. This could NOT have been a hard thing for you to do, as a simply COURTESY to your customers.
