Is it possible to export items to ebay express from here?

Hello,

eBay listings are automatically imported and seen on eBay express, as long as you and your listings qualify for some requirements set by eBay. You can check your seller requirements here:

I realize that eBay automatically list qualified items in eBay Express, however, there are certain criteria that need to be filled.

One is the Item Condition, which as far as I can see does not exist in Sales Manager Pro. Is this option going to become available?

Also, Specified Domestic Shipping costs must also be included, which although is provided for in the Sipping Information tab in Sales Manager Pro, it doesn't seem to take in eBay?

I've gone through several of my listings that does have domestic shipping information listed, but whenever I check the eBay Express Eligibility form, it says that Domestic Shipping Information is not provided.
This is very odd. Am I entering the shipping rate incorrectly?

I went into My Account and under eBay Site Specifics, I selected: 'I am specifying shipping costs for eBay checkout' in order for us to qualify for eBay Express.

I saved my changes and then I posted a test eBay Store listing. Nothing... I had to manually edit the listing in eBay so show shipping.

Please tell me what I'm doing wrong. I really don't want to manually change 1100 listings one by one via eBay.

Hello Claire,

It sounds like you have edited your preferences, but may not have actually changed the listing itself. Please check these items that you have listed: Are you relisting old items, or posting from inventory where the items are still not setup with ebay checkout or an item condition?

Ed

Thank you for getting back to me so quickly. I actually listed an item
from inventory into my eBay stores to test my preferences. I'm sure I
missed something. Where exactly do I setup the eBay checkout or item
condition in the Sales Manager Pro program?

Okay, I believe we've figured it out. In Sales Manager Pro, under Edite -> Profile Manager -> eBay Site Information, we clicked on the Payment Instructions & Details and selected the 'I am specifying Cost for eBay Checkout'.
It's weird that it didn't take when I made the exact same change online thru Vendio.

Anyhow, mystery solved, I have another question though.

My template is not appearing properly in eBay Express, altough it is perfectly fine in my eBay store. When I contact eBay, they passed the buck back to you.

Can you help please?

Hello again Claire,

Do you have some examples (item numbers/URL's) of what you are seeing that I can investigate this template issue for you further?

Hello Claire,

We spoke with eBay about this and they have someone from their technical team checking into the problem as we speak.

Apparently this is only an issue in Mozilla/FireFox browsers, and not Internet Explorer.

This will be referenced by chat transcript #1466730, and they said to check back tomorrow for an update on the progress of this issue.

Wes from eBay support said "If you still notice this problem, feel free to return back to General Support Live chat, and we can check on the status of the technical report" - which we will do tomorrow, but please also let us know if you notice this issue persists yet tomorrow.

Christopher

Hello Christopher,

We're still getting the Mozilla/Firefox issue. Can you check with eBay on their status? Thanks!

It doesnt seem like ebay will do anything about it. Here is thier response

Dear cjrent,

This is Marnie from eBay Express Live Chat with an update for you
regarding the HTML Code not appearing accordingly on the site.

Upon review of your items our Site Technicians have determined you are
using CSS. CSS short for Cascading Style Sheets, is a new feature being
added to HTML that gives both Web site developers and users more control
over how pages are displayed. With CSS, designers and users can create
style sheets that define how different elements, such as headers and
links, appear. These Style Sheets can then be applied to any Web page.

It does look like Firefox parses CSS code a little differently and
coupled with the fact that eBay Express pages seem more sensitive to any
extraneous code you may run in to some problems.

For future listings you may wish to remove the CSS and just use the
HTML. I am having our Site Technicians take a further look into this
however, there are no immediate plans for changes on the site.

If you need further assistance, please don't hesitate to reply to this
email and let us know or, you may contact our Live Help team by clicking
the 'Chat Now' link at the following:

http://pages.express.ebay.com/service/index.html

I appreciate the opportunity to assist you and I hope that your time on
eBay Express is a pleasant and successful experience.

Sincerely,

Marnie T. D.

Hello,

This seems silly. If you remove the bit of code for eBay express off of the top of the page, it actually works just fine:

http://item.express.ebay.com/__Mixed-Media-Art_David-Mann-S-N-Offset-Litho-Tribute-to-Ben-Franklin_W0QQitemZ190034149336

As you can see, its the exact same page, but without the eBay express code across the top of the page, it works perfectly.

Hopefully they will find the cause of this error and correct it, rather than ask everyone to adjust their HTML code to compensate for this error in their coding.

We'll continue to push for more work to address this issue, as while most users on eBay are still using Internet Explorer, there is a large number of users that have long since switched to Mozilla, FireFox and Netscape type browsers instead.

Christopher

You are absolutely correct it does work fine when I do exactly what you say.

I would love to be able to just list my auctions with eBay express and have them look good when I do a regular search for the item
I am not sure if the people searching eBay express will know to do what you suggested and they won't even bother looking at the auction the way it appears all messed up.

I am sure this has to be a problem with other users has anyone found a simple solution to this?

I appreciate any suggestions

Hello,

Unfortunately, this will need to be corrected on eBay's end. We will continue to work with eBay's technical team, and hopefully they will correct this shortly.

Regards,
Nathan

Hello,

Of course, we will continue to keep you in the loop with any information we receive.

Strangly, (and perhaps related to the number of people actually using express thus far) nobody else noticed this since eBay express was released a few months back. Perhaps not that many are on the FireFox browser yet, which of course you and I know they should.

The only workaround I could see trying, just for the time being, would be to use a template with a light colored background and with a much darker text.

This way when eBay's express header appears across the top and wipes out the background image - you would at least be able to view the text without having to highlight it first.

Christopher
