I get an error 70 permission denied while trying to sync in smpro.

Smpro hangs at that point and the only way to stop it from sitting there forever is to click the cancel button on the sync dialog box.

It then gives the error '0' message.

I need to be past this issue and get my listings to market.

Please advise.

I found this hopefully useful info I want to add to my post.

I see this in the details of the sync before the error. The error happens at that last one or possibly just before the very next action.

Start banner synchronization.
Banner synchronized.
Start announcements synchronization.
Announcements synchronized.
Comparing local and online counters.
Local and online counters are identical.
Comparing local and online templates.
Templates compared, update will follow.
Comparing local and online logos.
Logos compared, update will follow.
Comparing local and online graphics.
Graphics compared, update will follow.
Comparing local and online saved templates.

Further information:

I deleted all my saved templates from the online system.

Now I can sync without any errors.

Apprently you can make custom templates online and smpro errors on sync.

Please advise exactly how and when this will be fixed. I expect to be able to use custom templates.

Thanks.

ERROR HAS RETURNED!

It takes a great deal of trust to use an auction management service.

I hope this can be dealt with as my trust index is slipping.

thanks

Hello,

We are sorry for the troubles you are encountering while using our program.

Please explain if the synchronization always stops as soon as it gets to the custom templates or if the errors are random and sometimes it gets past the templates. Also, please let us know which type of Windows you are using.

I get the error reliably on when the details display shows this as the current action:

"Comparing local and online saved templates."

I have two machines here. One runs Vista and I thought that mught be the problem. The other runs Windows XP SP2 (all updates applied).

It gets through a bunch of items in the details section before it bombs.

I uninstalled and re-installed the program already TWICE!

Thanks

I have tested the SMPRO synchronization on your Vendio account using my computer and it worked fine.

Please specify if you are getting the error on both Windows Vista and Windows XP. Also, are you using Windows in English or in another language?

I deleted all my custom templates online. I deleted the directories just for good measure. I removed all my photos.

I re-installed on Vista and XP and it syncs fine.

What will happen when I start to make templates and upload photos?

I think it is unacceptable to have a condition where working online or offline with smpro will result in loss of all work.

I wish I had the time to retain all the data and help you get to the bottom of this.

The fact is, I just need to get right to work.

thanks

Hello,

Are you saying that now that you have no images and no templates, you can synch without error?

The error you're reporting may be related to the regional options you have set. Please make sure that you are using English (US) regional option in Windows. You can check this by going to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Regional Options. Locale should be set as "English (United States) and Language should be "Western Europe and United States".

Once you have reset your regional options, start SM Pro and go through the Startup Wizard, then synch. If you are still having trouble after doing this, please let us know.

Regards,
Christopher
