i made sure i'm using English (US) regional option in Windows and i am still getting "run-time error 5, invalid procedure call or argument". i uninstalled and reinstalled sales manager pro, and still get the same message. what should i do? thnaks in advance.

Hello,
In most cases this error indicates a problem with the regional options that you have set. Could you please double check your regional options by following the below steps?
You can check this by going to Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Regional Options. Locale should be set as "English (United States) and Language should be "Western Europe and United States".
Once you have reset your regional options, start SM Pro and go through the Startup Wizard, then synch. If you are still having trouble after doing this, please let us know.
