I can't beleive this is not taken care of yet!!! Vista has been out for years!!!
I have tried all the recomedations on the forum and I still get errors. The error says the program has stopped working and it shows it has crashed. I get this error at random times.
Here is a link of the picture of the program error.
Windows Vista has not been out for years, it was just released earlier in 2007 (it was originally scheduled for late 2006, but there were too many issues so it was put off till Jan of this year.) - Unfortunately it appears many issues persist.
I checked but didn't see any previous mention of issues from you in the forums, which of the workarounds did you use to install the copy your using currently?

I have 2 separate Vendio accounts and am trying to install SM Pro for both accounts on windows Vista. I cannot get 2 installs to work as I did with XP. It will not accept the second program. Any suggestions.
If you have two or more Vendio accounts, the easiest way to keep your account information separate is to install a separate copy of SM Pro on your computer for each Vendio account.
The first step is to download the install kit from our site (be sure to select the "save to disk" option.) The same install kit can be used to install all SM Pro copies.
The second step is to install the program into separate locations. The first copy is installed into "C:\Program Files\Vendio" folder by default. However, you will NOT want to install either copy in this location on your Vista machine. Instead, create a new folder (in your user directory) C:\Users\USER_NAME\Vendio (where USER_NAME is the username for your computer). You will need to create a unique file folder for each additional copy that is to be installed ("C:\Users\USER_NAME\Vendio2" is an example.)
Next, run the installer for Sales Manager Pro, when the prompt comes up asking you where to install, select and install to the first folder ("C:\Users\USER_NAME\Vendio".
After this is done, run the installer again, and install it to the alternate folders you have created (such as the example "C:\Users\USER_NAME\Vendio2".) As you do this, you will need to choose a different name for the Program Group for each installation (for instance, you may choose to use the eBay ID that will be associated with that installation.)
After you have installed the separate copies of SM Pro, you should have a matching Vendio icon on your desktop. You should probably rename them with your eBay ID so that you will be able to differentiate them.
Now you should be able to launch the copy you want via your labeled icons.
NOTE: All copies of SM Pro that you have on your system must be the same version number in order to work correctly.
If you continue to have trouble with this, please let us know in exactly what way you are having trouble. For example, are you getting an error?
Is this the first time over the past few years of using the beta version of Vista that you have attempted to use the SMPRO program?
And are you using an official new non-beta copy/version now, the same as the rest of us would have access to?
Next, to get this corrected, we'll need to start going back through all of the steps previously mentioned by Vendio support and a few of the other Vista users that have found their own solutions to this issue. Unfortunately it seems that every copy of Vista has its own little quirks and problems, so the fixes to get XP designed programs to run properly are inconsistent.
Which methods have you already used to get the program to run, and has the behavior changed from one method to the other?
As a Beta tester for Microsoft, you can understand how much information is required to really hunt down a good fix for these issues, so please try to include as much detail as you can when describing what the problems are with the program, when they happen, and the methods you have used to work around this so far. This should help eliminate the need to wait for additional information before being able to relay possible solutions.
Please first uninstall the program. Then be sure that you are installing SM Pro from a Vista Administrator account. Save this install to the new folder as well (i.e. c:\users\dan\...). Do not choose to run the application from install (uncheck both checkboxes in the last screen during installation.) After installing, run the program from the desktop icon. Provide the Vendio account information. Synchronize, then close and reopen the application.
If you continue to have trouble with this, let us know exactly in what way you are still having trouble.
