For all of us who have been having problems running SMPro under Vista I think I found the solution, install Vista Service Pack 1. I did that yesterday and have not had a problem since.
SP1 is a large file so I suggest you allocate a couple of hours to letting it download and install itself. It will reboot your machine 2 to 3 times. Follow all of the instructions and suggestions before installing.

Thanks for posting this. We figured that eventually some of the MS patches for Vista would help users switching from XP (and not just for Vendio applications) - so thank you for sharing this tip for others to see. We do hope others try this and can report back their findings as you have.
