I did not benefit from any of your efforts!
your post to me never showed until last night after I had already labored about 3 hours to get these items relisted for my Sunday auction offerings.
I kept checking back and refreshing this community page in the hopes I would get an answer but your post never showed!
I asked customer support for help with this 2 days earlier on the 17th--they never replied!
it should have been a simple bulk upload of ended items that would have taken 15 minutes tops!

I tried individually refreshing items that I saw as a suggestion in an old post on the inventory edition forum and it took me all morning becouse I had never done it before and did not know about the search feature--I had to scroll through nearly 700 active listing!
then things kept appearing and dissapearing from the closed folder--this may have been becouse of your imports happening at the same time I was logged in and refreshing but many of these items that I ended got relisted back into fixed price without me wanting them to.
this means I was charged by both ebay and I think Vendio for a relist that happened without me initiating it!
I had to go back to ebay, individually end them again and again find them in the vendio control panel, again refresh them manually so they would show up in closed so I could finally relist them as auctions.
there are still several I just didn't have the time to deal with.
what exactly do I pay over 200 dollars a month for? my ended items are supposed to import to my closed folder
I am supposed to have the ability to bulk relist
I am supposed to be able to ask a question and get some support within 24 hours--it has not w been 72 with not a word from customer support
and why was I not able to see your post? what kind of glitches am I supposed to pay for in your system?
I should have credits applied to my account both for all the unasked for relists and my time
I need to know that my ebay data is being imported into my vendio account properly
and I need to know if this happens again just what to freaking do!
can I check all 700 active items and refresh? will that foul up my auctions? my FP? my store ?
this individually refreshing is not what I pay for!
there are more items I didn't add to the list to you that I ended and they seem to be completely lost becouse I didn't record their item numbers when ending them and can not scroll through 35 pages of actives to find them.
I will be forced to do them manually through ebay which again brings up the question--why am I paying Vendio for this?
I have been with you for many many years and rarely have a problem--but when I do have a problem it should not take 3 days for me to get it cleared up!
I am sorry if you are on the receiving end of my anger but you are the only one who is communicating with me--I appreciate your efforts but your company really screwed me yesterday! My entire Sunday was ruined--not going to the beach with my family I had to stay home and do all my work manually because the software program I pay for failed to work!

I am making this a seperate post from my large complaint.
about refreshing active folder ?
can I refresh everything ( all 600+ actives) if this happens again?
what mischeif can refreshing do?
I am worried that if this happened on the 17th there may be other ended items that are not being imported into closed
this is important for me becouse my process is this:
list through vendio auctions each sunday
unsold auctions show up in the closed folder where I bulk relist them as FP--these relists are done on a time schedule that enhances my sales throughout the week.

we have been having small groups of items that get relisted but are sold and some that never get relisted and the pictures go out of date--I think for the last 6 months or so.

we can't account for why but now I think that you guys are not importing everything for us.

should I add refreshing my active folder to a weekly maintenence process?
or can you find whats wrong and fix it?
thank you

Hello,

I was online yesterday as well but did see Nathan's reply to you around 10AM when I first checked this thread. There is nothing in the system that would be able to prevent just one user from seeing the contents of a webpage, and we are sorry to hear that your browser was not displaying the most recent content even after attempting to do a refresh.

On the 17th how did you contact us? I checked for any emails in our system from your primary address on file, however the last we have from you via email was on June the 23rd. I checked your 'My Support Requests' page, but unfortunately just couldn't find anything more recent.

Back to the original issue at hand - moving ended listings to the closed section.

Unfortunately unlike items that close normally, when you or eBay manually ends listings their API system doesn't automatically update those listings which ends up leaving them stuck in this active state until either refreshed or when their original closing time expires.

Moving them manually into your closed section so you can process as needed however can be an easy and quick process.
First go to your 'all active' page, set the number of items per page to 100, then simply go to the bottom of the page and click each page number. Go from (in your case) 1 to page 7 and then back from page 7 to one. Wait a few minutes and all of the items that have actually closed will not drop automatically.
You don't have to manually select the items and click to refresh them one at a time, though if you just have one or two then simply searching for the item number is quicker to do this. Either way it shouldn't take more than a couple of minutes to move all closed items into the closed section for processing when they are effected by this eBay API glitch that fails to update ended listings status in a timely manner.

many of these items that I ended got relisted back into fixed price without me wanting them to.

Nothing that Nathan or you described above would prompt an item to list unless it was already setup to automtically relist when it was originally submitted. If you believe an item was submitted in error please let us know the item number of one of the effected listings so we can take a look at it for you.
Refreshing or importing/etc will not prompt an item to post ever, so we would need to track down how the original item was setup and verify how the actual triggering of that next item was prompted.

there are more items I didn't add to the list to you that I ended and they seem to be completely lost becouse I didn't record their item numbers when ending them and can not scroll through 35 pages of actives to find them.

You don't have to find them manually if your not sure of the title or item number to be able to search, plus it's faster doing it the way I described above. I just spend about 5 minutes refreshing the 8 pages of items in your active list, so everything showing as active currently is truly active. Any items that you had ended that were in your active list, are in your closed section for you to process as needed.

I will address your followup post in a separate reply here.

Hello,

can I refresh everything ( all 600+ actives) if this happens again? what mischeif can refreshing do?

Please see my reply above, as this is how I prefer to do it. When you set the page view for your active items to 100, you can just click on the page numbers one by one, you don't even really have to select them and refresh. I usually just go through the pages one time through, which should be enough to move any ended -early items to the closed section, but since im waiting anyway for them to move I just go back through the list while I wait and watch the number of active items to see if it is decreasing.

There are no side effects to simply refreshing, your just asking the system to check for the most up to date stats on the items (hits/bids/etc) - which is why simply viewing the pages moves the items when they were closed early - it checks for latest states, sees that item is actually now closed and then moves it to the closed section.

There is nothing wrong with the process you describe, the only time you would need to manually refresh items is when you end them early at eBay. They would move to the closed section on their own in time, but if you want to work on them right after ending them early, that is when you would need to go to the active section and view the pages (refresh, same thing) to drop them to closed.

As for importing, an import doesn't need to be done at all unless you list or relist an item from eBay directly. Currently eBay does show your sellers list with almost 20 more items than what Vendio is tracking, which means either 20 or so items were listed to eBay from eBay directly (outside of Vendio anyway) or eBay hasn't yet updated themselves to show the correct number of truly active items. If you have listed or relisted anything outside of Vendio, then you will need to manually trigger an import as the system will not go out and find these automatically.

Chris

thank you both Chris nad Nathan
I now know how to use that active folder which I just never even looked at before--I just use the system for relisting but had a lot of FP items I wanted to relaunch as auctions for this summer slump.

I emailed through customer manager the customer support on the 17th
they replied asking for a list and I sent it then they never replied back
the emails from them were gone from the bulk mail folder as soon as I replied but my emails to them are in the sent folder.

as well, I refreshed this page many times in the hopes of getting a reply--one never showed up until sunday night
I also had the "Email Notification: emails sent to you whenever someone replies" checked and nothing came in
but today both of your replies came to my in box.

I think the reason many items self listed was they may have had the relist once box checked--this is in my template and we don't change it for FP items as just never noticed it or considered the affect. if I had known about the active folder earlier I could have turned off the relist feature before refreshing.

I still feel this should not have been such a struggle--can you tell me why no one responded to me in customer manager?

also a problem I have been having for about a year with no satisfying solution.
I have auto feedback set for all paid auctions and I have the multi purchase box checked but Vendio does not leave feedback for multiple purchases--I have to manually leave it in ebay. The folks who purchase multile items are the ones I would like to leave swift feedback for the most!
can you fix this?
can you give me instruction for importing those items I have relisted from ebay?
since you are being so helpful can I ask this of you too?
thanks

Hello,

I emailed through customer manager

Ok, that's why I didn't see it on your customer record when looking for your regular address. When you contact us through the actual help page it tracks it in your account record, but if your a user that knows how to manually email us directly it bypasses that whole system and you cannot track and followup with it via the support requests system found on the help page. In the future try using that help link to email us instead, as it's useful if you ever needed to go back and review what was asked and what the reply was - as those requests are saved on that page for your record.

I did search instead for emails sent in manually to the support address from your Vendio.com address instead of your primary email address on file and did see your original email sent in on 7/18 at 2:56PM, to which Nathan responded at 3:08PM the same day asking for a sample to check into for you. Unfortunately I don't show your reply to that email (which has this same list of items you posted here to the message center) coming in to Vendio until well after Nathan had already replied to your message center post on the issue, and since it is a duplicate of the details you had in the message center it was not yet replied to.
I do however see that you did both reply to Nathan's reply at that time as well as send in a new email with those same details.

To answer the question, it looks like Nathan did reply to the email you had manually sent in via the Customer Manager page, and we have to apologize for not replying back to your followup email with the details shown in Nathan's reply back to you in the above thread.

I have auto feedback set for all paid auctions and I have the multi purchase box checked but Vendio does not leave feedback for multiple purchases

I would be happy to check into this further for you. If you have any combined orders that are marked as paid but have not yet left feedback automatically please let me know the order # in question. I double checked your settings and those appear to be setup properly to do as you wish.

can you give me instruction for importing those items I have relisted from ebay?

From the Sales Manager page, click the import/track link along the left side of the page to use the import tool. Note however that when you run an import the system will look for anything that is on eBay and not currently in your Vendio account. The side effect of this is that it will bring in any items that you may have archived as it looks for closed items not already in the account as well and imports those.
If you relist from the closed section in Vendio, when you relist an item that qualifies for relisting credit, the original is automatically archived upon relisting - but after importing this original item will again appear in the closed section. This means if you blindly relist anything in your unsold items page in Vendio, you may suddenly be seeing items that you have already resubmitted. In that case you may not want to perform an import.

The 'track' function on that import/track page allows you to import just a specific item number - this would be preferred if you need for the system not to bring in everything it can from eBay (closed and active) that isn't already in your account.

Chris

hi
I thought the customer manager was my only option. I did reply with the list I put up here but as I said--when I hit send or reply or whatever--it all dissapeared so I sent the other email which you saw

the thing is, even if I did something wrong--sending a question should not be so difficult--the emails either never come or take so long I have to figure out a solution myself. I will try help from now on

below is one example of a paid double order.
it was paid the 18th and it should have feedback left but no

Order # 52908409018

I tried your instructions for ended items
and they didn't work so well
I ended 4 items then went through the pages of my active files and nothing
so I refreshed the 4 items and they came up with the word closed under the "ends" column. ( they are the 1st 4 in the list.
but they are not moving to the ended folder
I also went through and clicked on all the pages in my ended items.
is there something wrong with my account?
thanks

Hello,

No worries, you can really use either, it's just quicker and better managed via the actual help center. When you go there you'll see that you have used it a few times in the past, and that for those cases you can still review your questions and our replies as needed.

Sending a question indeed should not be hard or take very long to receive an answer from, but it looks like the original email you sent in on this issue received a reply within 12 minutes - though if you emailed prior to the time specified in the above post its possible that the manual email method took longer to appear in the system than when using the normal help system.

Order # 52908409018

Is this the current/correct number? I checked your account but could not locate any such order number currently in your post sale management.

As for manually ended listings, refreshing them will move them to the closed section. If you do it *right* after you actually end them at eBay, it will take a few more minutes to move into the closed area even when you manually refresh, but typically you can just refresh them again 5 minutes after the first time and you'll see the system has actually already moved them down (as upon refresh they will disappear from the active area.)

Chris
