My computer's hard drive crashed a few days ago. Now I'm trying to restore everything. I reinstalled SMPro and synced it, but my inventory and batch files are gone. Is there a way to restore these? Would they be located somewhere else on my hard drive after the carbonite restore?

Hello,

The inventory and batch files are stored locally on your computer, unfortunately. If you still have any access to the old hard drive, they would be located under your C drive, Program Files, Vendio, then in the "Batches" and "inv" folders.

Also, if they are listings that were launched previously, you might be able to locate copies in your online account (that could then be relisted from the online account).

Regards,
Nathan

Hello,

The exact directory where the files are stored on your old hard drive are as follows:

Inventory files are located here:
C:\Program Files\Vendio\data

The file is called INV.dat and if you copy it from it's previous location on your old hard drive and paste it over into the same directory in your new hard drive - you should then see your inventory items once you launch SMPRO.

The batches on your old hard drive are located here:
C:\Program Files\Vendio\batches

The same is true for the batch files. Simply copy them over to your new computer from this old directory and you should be able to access them the same as on the old computer.

Regards,
Chris

Okay...the files are in my program files. How do I restore them to SMPro?

Hello,

You would copy those files from the folders in the old hard drive, and then paste them into the exact same locations in the new hard drive. Please let us know should you have any trouble with this.

Regards,
Nathan

The files are on my new hard drive, but they are empty (2.7KB). I think when I reinstalled SMPro, carbonite backed up the new .inv file and since the file it was empty, it overwrote the old .inv file.
